Can anyone find me some earrings like this? Pippa Small diamond studs

I’ve fallen in love with these and DH is happy to buy them for Christmas but I just want to check if there’s anything similar out there. I’d never heard of the designer but love her stuff now I’ve had a look. I’ve got some lovely drop earrings from Anthropologie which are obvious to me now as a rip off of one of hers. I just like the setting of the diamond, I find normal claw settings a bit too formal.

@SoSickOfItNow THANK YOU! Beautiful alternatives

Bear in mind these aren't actually diamonds so don't warrant the price tag. They're quartz.

YouHaveNoAuthorityHereJackie · 18/12/2021 18:47

This was my thought too, @Srirachachacha, as much as I love the look of them there’s no doubt they’re overpriced

These are quite similar, half the price, and real diamonds.

The original ones are nicest. If you are spending over £200 you might as well get the best ones rather than have buyers remorse

RepentBirthingPersonFucker · 18/12/2021 21:55

The original ones are beautiful. The others are a bit too rustic

YouHaveNoAuthorityHereJackie · 19/12/2021 11:13

Thank you. I’ve slept on it and I think you’re right. The originals are the ones I fell in love with and I think I’d regret not going for them. Order placed, fingers crossed they get here before the big day

Gonnagetgoing · 19/12/2021 11:24

I actually do like the originals and thinking about these for present for me for next day. Different to the norm.

YouHaveNoAuthorityHereJackie · 21/12/2021 14:05

@Gonnagetgoing did you order them? I’ve just received them and I’m so disappointed, the quality is awful. One earring has a huge chip in the stone, and the cut of both stones is terrible too. I’m having such a bad day and this feels like the icing on the shitty Christmas cake Angry

She uses rough cut stones. To get something really beautiful from her you need to spend a lot of money. More than I'm prepared to pay for jewellery.

YouHaveNoAuthorityHereJackie · 21/12/2021 14:46

@Mercurial123 there’s rough cut and then there’s a huge great chip. I don’t mind rustic. But this just looks BAD and damaged.

Pippa Small stones are beautiful but garbage from a jewellery point of view. You pay for the settings, which are usually 22ct gold.

My experience of their customer service isn’t brilliant so I hope you get your money back quickly.

overthethamesfromyou · 21/12/2021 14:54

Are you able to return them?

YouHaveNoAuthorityHereJackie · 21/12/2021 14:57

Yes thankfully, I bought from Net a Porter, delivered today and it looks like the return might be picked up today too. My first time dealing with them though so fingers crossed there’s no problem. Expecting a big delay in the refund just because of the time of year though

Collected just now in fact!

I'm not disagreeing with you. Her more expensive jewellery is beautiful but they all have flaws.

tunbridge · 21/12/2021 15:05

Good idea getting them via Net a Porter. This isn’t a fashionable opinion but I loathe buying from independents. They take any returns so bloody personally, and will say or do anything to niggle out of a refund.

godmum56 · 22/12/2021 17:46

folk do know that Herkimer diamonds are not real diamonds?

JustLikeaJingleBell · 22/12/2021 20:26

At least you were able to return them as they looked like bits of glass that get washed up on the beach after being tossed around the seabed for a while.

Huffthepuff · 22/12/2021 22:07

Sorry they were disappointing OP. They look so beautiful in the photos!

Bit more pricey but I love the look of Tamara Gomez jewellery (she was a contestant on All that Glitters).

JustLikeaJingleBell · 22/12/2021 22:46

Tamara made some beautiful items.

I'm sure she could make you something bespoke in the style you're after for better quality and a good price.

LondonGrub · 22/12/2021 23:00

I have the silver version of these. I love them. They do them in lots of different sizes. Clear topaz not diamond. I've had mine for years and I they still look great.
