I know that money’s no object to him, but how lovely did Lewis’s mum look today? I thought really understated and classy. Full on designer, I know, but you've still got to know how to wear it.

I am not a huge fan of the outfit myself.

But what matters, is if she liked it and felt happy with it.

I think she looks great.

Omicrone · 16/12/2021 07:23

I think he definitely picked that outfit for her. I don't think it suits her at all.

LizzieSiddal · 16/12/2021 07:25

What makes you think that Omicrone?

LizzieSiddal · 16/12/2021 07:29

There’s a lovely article here about Lewis and his mum.❤️

O get the impression that some people on here would only be happy if she'd turned up in a drab Hush/Toast/Cos sack or some Boden frumpery? And I suspect "whatever is protruding" from her handbag is the box for that the rather large medal that her son is wearing.

SalsaLove · 16/12/2021 07:36

At one point they took off their masks and she opened her handbag and Lewis dutifully put his mask inside. Adorable moment.

Exactly!

Disfordarkchocolate · 16/12/2021 07:37

I thought she looked fabulous too, as did he.

I'm not a Lewis fan (I was a Jensen Button fan long before Lewis hit F1) but I think he is the best driver we've seen since Ayton Senna and that I probably won't see him surpassed.

Kshhuxnxk · 16/12/2021 07:41

Isn't it funny how people see things differently. I would have said I'll fitting jacket was from M&S and anyone with taste doesn't carry a bag so obviously designer its usually knock off and as.for the blouse that's awful she definitely can't carry it off.

Icecreaminwinter · 16/12/2021 07:43

Overall she looks lovely but none of it is particularly flattering on her. It all looks uncomfortable.

mydogisthebest · 16/12/2021 08:22

I thought she looked lovely and so did Lewis.

I love Lewis and have followed him since his karting days. I thought then he would go on to achieve great things.

His mum should (rightly) be so so proud of him. He seems such a kind and thoughtful man and adores his dog. He is also such a handsome man.

Dozer · 16/12/2021 08:23

Like it!

moose62 · 16/12/2021 08:33

I think they both looked great. Very well deserved knighthood! He has done so much more in his sport than other winners. All credit to him for the way he behaved after the debacle that happened on Saturday.

DameLucy · 16/12/2021 11:44

@torquewench I absolutely agree with you and I guess she wasn’t to know how big the box for the medal would be 😂

I loved this moment, such a close relationship. I loved his brooch rather than wearing a tie, really smart but with a twist.
snowpiercer · 16/12/2021 13:23

They look lovely as a proud mother would look but I don't particularly like the the outfit. Jacket doesn't fit, bag doesn't suit and the blouse isn't nice at all. Is she wearing silver shoes as well? Her trousers aren't a nice cut either. I think outfit wise she could have looked so much better but the picture made my heart smile. I hope I'll be a proud mum one day and pose with my son :)

BatshitCrazyWoman · 16/12/2021 13:29

Her outfit isn't to my taste at all, but she looks happy.

CommanderBurnham · 16/12/2021 13:46

She probably isn't dressed that well but she's dressed exactly as who she is. A proud mum with a son who's bought her whichever most expensive clothes she likes. She might not be the most stylish, but her and Lewis are very lucky to have each other.

I saw that too!

Yeah, it's not like she was going to turn up at Windsor Castle with a squished up Tesco Bag For Life inside her handbag just in case, is it? 😂

DameLucy · 16/12/2021 15:17

@torquewench 😂😂😂
I did that with my comfy shoes at my son’s graduation. 😳

Weirdly, I bought a jacket very similar to that, but different colour way in a charity shop a couple of years ago. I fell in love with it, despite the fact that it was too small. I've managed to shake off 1.5 stone and it now fits me! So scouring charity shops, particularly in naice areas can pay off.

Mercurial123 · 16/12/2021 17:18

She's a normal woman who probably didn't have a stylist. She's enjoying the day with her son. She'd probably be mortified being picked apart by some posters on here.
