A more masculine scent for a teenage girl

My 15 year old niece is after a perfume with more of a masculine scent than a feminine floral sweet one. Can anyone recommend one which is £20 or under? I had a brief look in The Body Shop today but they didn't have much. Many thanks.

@ALightThatNeverGoesOut

Really the best thing to do is go somewhere like boots with perfume counter staff who can advise you. I've always found them really helpful in boots and they're not at all arsey about you wanting to keep to budget.
Do this OP. I went into boots the other day to find a fragrance and the woman was so knowledgeable. She asked what I usually wore and gave me similar perfumes and knew the ins and outs of each one. I also asked her to recommend one for my DD.

When I was that age (admittedly this was in the 90s!) I wore Cool Water, as did lots of my friends. I still think it's lovely.

I've also been wearing a sample of Dior Sauvage recently which I really like but it might be a bit too manly (and maybe beyond the budget).

My absolute favorite perfume is an Irish brand called Inis - its very light and not flowery. It's a unisex fragrance
Oh I love this one! A local shop sells it and I had a free sample in a gift bag a few years ago. I think I want to keep that one for me Wink

I shall see what Boots recommend but I think CKone will be a good choice for her. It's not too strong and looks nice.
I love Cool Water too. I bought it for my brother many years ago.

Look for something with woody or fresh notes. Not all women’s perfumes are floral or sweet.

GettingStuffed · 15/12/2021 21:31

This is lovely . It's become my signature scent, a definite unisex one. I like that it's long lasting but you can only afford a small spray but it's strong so a single squirt is enough www.sniph.co.uk/product/commodity-paper/

Lime basil and mandarin, maybe a dupe of it as the JM one is ££

blisstwins · 15/12/2021 21:54

Clarins way dynamysante is great snd almost unisex, Aqua do Parma or other brands of colonia Frescas could also be nice.

I like Tom Ford Black Orchid and wear it often.

Obsession night for women is a good one if you can find it

I'm sure it is nice, but at £62 a wee bit over my budget Wink

I love L’eau d’Issy Miyake. Used to always steal it from an ex BF. Masculine, and a lovely clean smell.
Actually quite fancy a whiff of it now!

Ck is back in as the 1990s are big with teens at the moment!

CommanderBurnham · 17/12/2021 22:10

The Abercrombie signature one is nice.

The CKone gift set went down well and she loves the scent so thank you for the suggestion :)
