Just that really! Had it done for the first time yesterday, I had very thin patchy brows and now I have much larger ones. It’s quite a shock, and they’re very dark. The technician is very good and has done some friends and they all love theirs, but it’s just a massive change for me and I feel it looks so obvious. I know it will fade before the top up session but they’re generally wider than I’d imagined. Will this change as they fade or am I stuck with this shape now? It’s my fault for not noticing how much larger they would be when she mapped them out first. Now I’m anxious to go out. I have a work dinner tonight and I don’t want to go now :(
Have I made a horrible mistake, or will it all be ok in the end and I’m just freaking out as it’s early days??

I think they always look stronger at first .Also your eyes aren't used to them. I'm always like that with new things . When you put your foundation on you can kind of blend them in a bit ? I'm sure an expert will be along to advise ! You'll be reet as we say here in Wigan !

I’m 3 weeks on and mine have settled. Give them a chance. Even by the weekend you will see a difference. I love mine now but had that initial reaction

PeachMelba78 · 15/12/2021 19:14

Mine were heavy and I have dark brows anyway! Now they are perfect and so natural. They need to settle and then get topped up once they have healed.

Perdigal · 15/12/2021 19:22

Have you tried a bit of neutral powder to tone it down ?

TheHungriestMama · 15/12/2021 19:28

They should settle a lot when they're fully healed, the colour seems to be mega strong, then disappears for a week or two, then comes back a bit.

@Perdigal

Do not do this, they need to just be left alone, yes they will be dark, were you not warned, they will be very dark and prominent until the scabs fall off, you will then worry that you can't see them as the colour seems to disappear and you miss your dark scabby brows, but then they settle and the colour returns and they look fab and then you have to go through it all again when you get your top up,
HermioneWeasley · 15/12/2021 20:33

They go very dark at first - it’s the blood coming to the surface, I promise they will calm down. Leave them alone and keep them dry and you’ll be fine

Featherfox · 15/12/2021 20:36

I was in meltdown for the first two weeks after mine - hated the shape and darkness then they started scabbing so went patchy. However after that they settled and I loved them. Had them topped up ever since (every 12-18 months) and wouldn’t be without them now.

happyjack12 · 15/12/2021 21:50

they will calm down in about a week.
I had mine done after losing my brows to chemo- after months of none at all then to microbladed ones they looked MAHOOSIVE and black to start with....
now love them, and have had total strangers saying " your brows look amazing! " I'm 53, and not one to have compliments on how i look...
you will be fine :)

ExquisitelyDecorated · 15/12/2021 21:55

I felt the same but once I'd got used to them if anything I think I could have gone a bit thicker, I especially think that when I see them in photos. They have faded a bit now (2.5 years post) and I add hairstrokes with a brow pen going over the edges.

SweetBabyCheeses99 · 15/12/2021 22:22

Don’t worry, give it 2-3 years and you’ll have the same red smudges in weird places on your face as everyone else. No idea why anyone gets this done? 🤷🏻‍♀️

dontgobaconmyheart · 15/12/2021 23:09

They'll calm down, definitely. Without a photo it is impossible to really say whether they suit you but seeing any change to ones face is always an adjustment. Some stronger makeup might balance it out in the meantime. It sounds like the technician is a good one though OP, if your friends have all been happy? See how you feel in a week or so.

Notes for next time though to not have it done during party season when you're going to be going out socialising Flowers

cherrylola · 16/12/2021 07:45

Thanks everyone, really helpful to hear your experiences. I’m already loads happier with them. After I had a shower and did my makeup they looked so much better. Fingers crossed they end up just right like so many of you have said they should :)
Yes @dontgobaconmyheart never in December again!! I was just over excited and got booked in ASAP Grin

I was just going to order this, had it in my bag, but when I took a look at the mixed reviews, I changed my mind as quite a few said they didn't rate it.
