What would you buy with this voucher?

Background: I’m a teacher at a fancy pre-prep school. It’s my first year at the school, so I really didn’t know what to expect in terms of presents. I got a £200 SpaceNK voucher from my class last week, and I honestly have no idea what to spend it on.

I don’t really wear make up. I do like skincare stuff, but I have no idea about high end stuff. (I use Simple and Nivea, and Bio-Oil. Neal’s Yard if I’m feeling fancy) I wear the Jo Malone bluebell perfume which is a Christmas gift from family each year, and I do like nice scents in terms of perfumes and candles.

I have a Diptique candle which I got for a gift and love, and I saw Space NK does Diptique candles - but I’m not sure I want to spend £200 on candles. Is Diptique perfume any good?

My skin tends to be on the dry/ combination side. It’s also fairly sensitive. Are there any amazing serums that SpaceNK do that work for most skin types?

Basically, how would you spend £200 at SpaceNK? I want to make sure I use this voucher wisely…!

I’d spurge on face cream and high end lipstick if they do them.

I really love the Aesop hand cream and hand soap (but can't afford them), if I had a voucher I would buy one of each for some everyday luxury.

Oh they must really love you. That’s a lovely gift.
Neom candles and defusers are also good if you want something for the home.
I have had super sensitive and dry skin this winter and got some Aesop Damascan Rose oil based on the reviews. Two applications in and I haven’t reacted and my eyelids are no longer scaly so I’m very hopeful. Smells strongly of Turkish delight initially.
I have a lovely tinted lip balm also in rose but I can’t remember the brand and it’s not to hand.
I know you don’t wear much makeup, but Hourglass is another thing I buy.
If you can wait for after Christmas there is very likely to be some version of 25% off when you spend £xxx

These are so helpful, thank you! I really like the look of the facial oil. I do love the Aesop soap scent, too.

Have you got a store near you? I've found the staff to be pretty helpful. They do some fab haircare. I like Laura Mercier bath stuff too.

I teach university level and often get vouchers where the whole graduating class has clubbed together - not as much as £200 though! - which is lovely. I always try and buy something that will have reasonable longevity. I'm a big perfume fan, so I tend to go for that, and then wearing it reminds me of the class. I've also been gifted vouchers for ASOS/John Lewis where I have bought a piece of jewellery.

Space NK stock Jo Loves perfume. I lust after but simply can't afford the Pomelo

LemonGiraffe · 16/12/2021 11:11

I had exactly the same scenario and bought some nice shower gels and bubble bath. It was then a real treat having luxury ones for everyday showers.

Frustrating as a John Lewis voucher would be so much more useful/practical but just have to enjoy that instead you can get real treats for yourself.

These suggestions are making me happy. I’ll check out the Jo Loves perfume. And yes, some luxury soap/ shower gel would be lovely. Thank you!
