VB Eyeliner Dupe

Oh the damnable internet keeps showing me ads for this eyeliner and now I'm obsessed.

https://www.victoriabeckhambeauty.com/products/satin-kajal-liner/?gclid=EAIaIQobChMI5oGzPPe9AIVXoBQBh1DLAgCEAAYASAAEgLxYvDBwE

I have bright green eyes and am convinced that this particular eyeliner will change my life.

Can anyone suggest a dupe that looks as soft and as blendable and perfectly bronzy as this one, pretty please?

Barry M do a really soft, nice one. Bold Bronze I think.

ArsenicNLace · 14/12/2021 18:41

I'm going to give the Bary M one ago. I have that VB eyeliner in bronze and it is perfect. However the price isn't. Also it was about £5 postage on top. I also paid an extra £2 for the sharpener which doesn't fit the actual pencil. My usual Boots one did but because it's so soft it runs down very quickly.

It is my mission in life to find a cheaper version because otherwise it is perfect and I have grey/blue eyes.

JustLikea · 14/12/2021 21:57

Check out Charlotte Tilbury

MrsPelligrinoPetrichor · 14/12/2021 21:58

No7 eye pencils are great.

Luckingfovely · 15/12/2021 09:33

Thanks all - sounds like Barry M might be worth a stab!

I'm not a fan of Charlotte Tilbury, and hers will probably be the same price as VB!

I had an amazing Stila gel eyeliner in an M&S beauty calendar last year. It was £16 to replace. 😱 I now use the Soap & Glory or L'Oreal versions one from Boots but they're still around £12.

I wouldn't buy a pencil eyeliner again. They snap, or sludge up your sharpener, or get little bits of wood in your eyes... No.

Luckingfovely · 15/12/2021 09:55

@AlbertBridge that's just why I love the look of the VB one - it looks very soft and smudgy.

And also the perfect shade, I don't want rose gold, just that exact bronze. I will report back if I find the Holy Grail!

I've got a bronze one. Maybelline I think. It's good for making eyes look clear. Probably even better with green eyes

WhereAreWeNow · 15/12/2021 13:05

The Stila ones are lovely. Also Rimmel Scandal'eyes is v soft and creamy. I've got one called gilded gold or something which is a bronze kind of shade.

lindyloo57 · 15/12/2021 17:25

I wish I could wear the stila one, I also got it in the m& s beauty box, but it just smudge so bad on me.

ArsenicNLace · 15/12/2021 18:43

OP I got the Charlotte Tilbury one in my never ending mission to find a VB dupe. It's not as expensive as VB but it still pricier than I would like. It isn't as soft as VB (certainly not the bronze one although the blue is better).

Luckingfovely · 15/12/2021 22:37

So in a complete fit of desperation, I've ordered a Rimmel one from Amazon! Will update you on whether it was a huge mistake or not Grin and thank you all for suggestions... I suspect I may end up with either the VB or CT one, but I'm still living in hope for now!

If you're ever in Primark have a look at their makeup, I got a great bronze eyeliner from there, only £1

Kjr33 · 16/12/2021 07:40

I’ve got the vb one, I got it as a set with the mascara recently as it was on a Black Friday sale and its utterly beautiful I’ve never had an eyeliner like it……I’m sorry that’s probably not what you want to hear!

BusterGonad · 16/12/2021 12:28

Just get the VB one, your heart is set on it and any dupe will just make your heart long for the VB. I've often bought a dupe only to go on and buy the real thing.

onlyconnect · 16/12/2021 12:47

OP I have the VB one and it's nowhere near as good as it looks on the advert.

Godxilla · 16/12/2021 21:27

Avon do brilliant shades and their liners are so soft. They have such a variety as well.

MissSteak · 16/12/2021 21:42

Laura Geller does kajals.

ShirleyPhallus · 16/12/2021 21:45

Interesting as this is following me on sponsored ads too and I’ve been thinking how beautiful it is

Interested to hear how it goes!

MooMinCow · 16/12/2021 21:50

Try Kiko. They do a great automatic eyeliner (twist up) which comes in loads of matte and shimmery colours. Or alternatively this other Kiko eye liner pencil is a great bronze shimmery shade that I use regularly

Flyinggeese1234 · 16/12/2021 22:06

What’s your budget OP? I ask as it’s sometimes best just to bite the bullet and get what you really want rather than dupes. Bitter experience!

Luckingfovely · 16/12/2021 22:50

Oh wow - mixed reports on VB, I wasn't expecting that.

Tbh, yes I could buy the VB one... but just feeling anti towards spending that much if there's a more reasonably pricing dupe.

The cheap one should arrive tomorrow so I will update!

And thanks all for input and suggestions Smile

Flyinggeese1234 · 16/12/2021 23:27

Lucking totally get it! Here’s to a good result from the Rimmel.

Bussinbussin · 16/12/2021 23:34

Glad I'm not the only one seduced by those ads! I want the cocoa and the navy too. (My eyes are a weird hazel/olive colour.)

Nearly succumbed but there are loads of negative reviews saying her pencils are impossible to sharpen, and break repeatedly.

I ended up buying a bronze pencil from Maybelline. It's not as soft and smudgy as the VB looks to be but the colour is good.
