Allbirds trainers…. Which style?

Really want to treat myself to some Allbirds trainers as I’ve heard they’re really comfy.

Which style tho?? I like the Tree Dashers but they’re actual running shoes (I want to wear them as an every day trainer not for exercise,does that matter?)

Which ones do you have?

I am Allbirds fanatic!
I would pick the wool pipers - they are slightly edgier . The warmth is great so you can do the bare ankles/ no socks look.
They are addictive! I have multiple pairs!

Ooh thanks @LunaTheCat,so they’re warm but does that mean they’re too warm for summer or not?

@LunaTheCat ignore that comment…. They’re totally a summer style 🤣

I have the tree runners! LOVE THEM. I didn't want the wool ones as I'm always warm. I have the tree runners in 2 colours. Treating myself to a 3rd pair for xmas.
I did try the tree dashers but I returned them as I found them too heavy. The tree runners are lovely and light.

I definitely think tree runners OK summer - not for winter though.
I wear the merino ones all through the seasons - merino is cool summer and warm in winter - that’s why the sheep look so happy!

I have some mizzles, but I don't like the look of them, so they are not being worn very much. I bought them because they are so comfy and also warm and waterproof/resistant. But they don't look that nice to me, especially not with my winter clothes and they are winter shoes. Although maybe I just need to be a bit more creative.

I also have some treebreezers, which are ballet flats. They're great, but I only really wear them in the summer. You have to like ballet flats obviously. They made a comeback last year so I embraced that!

I have Mizzles too. They are very comfy and waterproof but they aren’t great looking.

RachelTheRedNosedReindeer · 13/12/2021 09:27

Ah not just me then!

I was just thinking; mine might look OK with tights and little shirt dresses? I have dark grey ones. With jeans I find them very bland and basic.

@RachelTheRedNosedReindeer

Mine are black hi-top ones. I’ve never worn them with dresses but I have found matching them with tights the same colour really helps make them look better. So maybe with grey tights?

I have wondered about the ballet shoe style, are they as padded and soft in the sole as the Mizzles?

SomethingBeginningWithX · 13/12/2021 10:46

I have the tree skippers and although I like aspects of them (mostly how soft and comfortable they are to wear) I've found my big toe has started to poke through the material! So I've stopped wearing them so much and just wear them around the house. Not ideal for £100 trainers

Not quite as padded, but definitely more supportive than your average ballet flats. I find them really comfy and can even do school run in them. They aren't that dressy as they look knitted, so a bit slipper-esque. But I like like a lot.

YouGotThisKeepGoing · 13/12/2021 14:08

@RachelTheRedNosedReindeer thank you, I’ll likely give them a go next year

ElinorOliphant · 15/12/2021 00:08

Think I’ll go for the tree runners then. I have wide feet (size 8) so hoping they’ll be ok!

I have the white tree Pipers and love them - so comfortable!
