Outbreaks on jawline! Product recommendation please šŸ™

Hi. I’m shortly going to be 41 and over the last few months I’m having lots of spot outbreaks along my jawline, but not in my face up to now. They can be both small or large and painful.
I’m wondering if it could be hormonal given my age as my diet and skin care regime hasn’t changed. Has anyone had a similar issue or can recommend any products to combat this?
My skincare regime is as follows:
AM
Wash face in the shower with either cerave cleanser or baby soap
The ordinary buffet serum
The ordinary hylauronic acid
Moisturiser with factor 30 or 50

PM
Cleanse with micellar water every evening
The ordinary squalene cleanser (if I’ve had make up on) as well
Glycolic acid toner
The ordinary buffet serum
Retinol
Aldi caviar night cream.

I'm 43 and have jawline outbreaks just before my period.

I use dove bar soap to wash my face morning and night and apply Clinique Dramatically Different after washing.

So same issue and very different skin care regimes. Will be following the thread with interest.

@BeQuietBrenda I wondered if it was related to my period but it’s only been in the last few months which is why I was debating I’d it was an age thing.
SadIt’s particularly bad at the moment

I had a breakout of jawline acne aged 28 and it was SO stubborn. I ended up going to the doctors after trying to treat myself for a year which soon fixed it (it was a cream called duac). I read at the time that jawline acne particularly can be stress related and that was certainly true of mine! Xxx

Jawline spots can be a sign of hormonal imbalance - so I’d consult your GP before anything else.

But, do you really need to use so many products every day?

Aldi cream made me breakout on my jawline stopped using it and it cleared up.

I recommend going to the doctor about it. I’ve been prescribed Skinoren. It took a while to really starting working, but I’m glad I stuck with it because it’s really effective and it also has improved the texture of my skin, and it’s faded the brown marks that I had from previous spots .

Thanks all! I’ll try the GP x

I’ve had chin and jawline spots - really troublesome - I’m 52 so it must be menopause/mask wearing. I’ve been taking flax seed oil, using Zineryt topical antibiotic and have just started Equi London Beauty Fluid, which I drink once daily. So far my skin is improving.

Thing is, jawline spots aren’t always about the skin. They can indicate a gynaecological issue - so need looking into thoroughly.

Swop a Cleanser for one with salicylic acid?

I also think glycolic acid is too much for every day. Over exfoliation especially given you use Retinol.

I had this for years, am now late 40s. Alpha h liquid gold stopped it, to my huge relief. I just use a basic cleanser and serum otherwise, and the alpha h along that area every other day.

Go to the pharmacy and get magnesium sulphate, it’s about Ā£3-Ā£4.
It was used on my sons hand as he got a cut infected and it draws out the poison. It comes in a small tub with lots left over so thought I’d use some on my spots- it’s miracle stuff!

I had topical antibiotics with my jaw spots, I had just lost my mum so stress could have been a trigger
