Jeans?

I want to buy some new jeans in the January sales. I’ve looked at Boden and M&S and can’t see what I want. I like a high waist, not to fitted at the crotch (my post menopausal vulva wouldn’t like that), not skinny legs, but not too wide either. I tried a pair of barrel leg. I tried not to be put off by the name, turns out I should have been. I found them the most unflattering ever. I don’t mind a straight leg or boot cut. I prefer a button fly, but that isn’t as important as the other criteria. If ordering online, it has to be from a company with an excellent customer services/returns record.

Advice gratefully received.

Boden slim straight jeans are fab. Shopped with them for years and their customer service is second to none.

@weekend2021 are they tight at the crotch and rise?

They’re not what I’d call high rise, but just cover my belly button, so high enough for me - maybe depends how long in the body you are though. Not tight at crotch area. The reviews on their website might be helpful as they will be from people of different shapes/sizes.

I was looking for exactly the same thing a few months ago @AnnieSnap, and I bought Straight Leg jeans from M&Co (after rejecting about a dozen supposed high rise/slim leg jeans). They fit brilliantly, good high rise (and I am very long in the body), but the fabric is very soft. This makes them really comfortable from new, but they won’t last for ages I don’t think.I bought a couple of pairs. They were only about £20 I think.

The M&S Mom jeans are the most comfortable pair of jeans I've owned, I'd recommend.

I love Levi 724s - high waist, straight leg but quite slim.

I also have the Levi 724’s and they would also fit your remit - they have a higher rise than the Boden slim straight but feel like they have more stretch - I think the Lycra content in Boden is 1% but Levi’s are 2%
