Knee high boots with anything?

So KHB have just been vetoed on another thread about wearing with skinny jeans (though I thought the OP looked nice). If they can’t be worn with skinny jeans what can they be worn with? Anything? Can I wear mine with a denim skirt? Only I do love them so.

NB I am fully aware that I and others are free to wear them with whatever we like. I’m asking about current trends, hence S&B. Please keep light and chat clothing only, it’s been a long day here

Hate to say this but a lot of posters on S&B are actually quite ignorant about what’s in fashion and unnecessarily sneery. Eugenie Trochu and Leia Sfez for example wear KHB quite regularly actually (see their instagram)

I laughed at myself today once I'd got home.

Planned v carefully what I'd wear, but it's freezing so all anyone saw was my calf length coat and knee high boots. (And mask too of course)

Could have stayed in pyjamas and just thrown coat over!

KHB are fine!

I love fashion and I do actually care about trends etc and want to look current.

Yeah yeah don't buy a whole new wardrobe, think of the planet blah. Well, I don't. I just use what I have to try to look current and add in a minimal number of items through the year.

Aaaaaanyway, with that out of the way, I think KHBs are not out of style. Skinny jeans are a bit out of style. I'd say Uggs and skinny jeans really do look dated (I know people hate that word, but it's just true). Skinny jeans under KHBs I think are actually fine. It depends on the top half as well. I don't think they look good with a top tucked in. It's a bit Gemma Teller in Sons of Anarchy.

I personally think the ops jeans were far to baggy to work with the KHB. I think that was the problem, not the boots

Baggy skinny jeans do look bad under KHB.

I've just commented on the other thread, I agree the jeans the poster's wearing aren't tight enough. I don't think knee high boots in general are dated, it depends on the boot and the outfit. I love the outfits in the pics I've attached.

Yes, I love the third pic with the camel coat - makes me wistful for pre Covid times before I gained weight and still had a social life! Maybe my KHB can help me get back to being more like that woman 😩

I wear KHBs with midi skirts, but not with skinny jeans, as I no longer wear them!

Knee High boots & over the knee boots are definitely in fashion, I read fashion magazines in print & online who have said so...

However Skinny jeans are not currently in fashion BUT they are very popular in fact they are 'Trending' on sites like River Island and I see women & girls of all ages wearing them - but mainly with trainers.

I'm currently trying slim cut jeans from Next which have an almost straight leg, usually rolled up above my trainers or biker boots.
Definitely can't fit them into KHB.

I wear my KHB with opaques & short dresses. Ive got a riding boot style pair from Simply Be.
