Fake Doc Martens?

I really want some DMs but I don't really want to spend the £££ on them... I've seen some fakies that look quite good on ebay... Does anyone have any experience of fake DMs? Is it worth it?

I have other black boots that are nice, it's the specific dm look that I'm craving, just would like it cheaper 😁.

Just save and get the real ones. The quality is incomparable and they will last for years and years if you look after them. You will have to keep replacing the fake ones.

I had a pair of fake DMs for years and I wore them everyday in every weather! Only black ones worked the best though like what you're looking at. I bought cherry red fake ones and the colour rubbed off pretty much immediately doh!

My DDs both have real Docs and to be honest, since they started making them in China, the quality is terrible...looks no better than those in your link. Just go for it!

Office, schuh and the dr martens shop all have good sales. Worth waiting for them imo

Would be better to save and buy from NPS Solovair. Much better than Dr Marten - as pp said since they moved manufacturing to China the quality has plummeted.

I just found some by a company called Tredflex. They are leather lined and actually better quality and more comfortable than my DMs.....

They also do a great dealer/Chelsea boot which are as good as my Solovairs.

The very cheap ones will just fall apart.

Following a mention on here I bought a pair of Solovair black 8 holes for my daughter. Not cheap but omg gorgeous - DMs the way they were when I had them (20, 30 years ago). Family company, they used to make DMs too, before DMs shifted to China. Quality is amazing and they resole them when needed so they last forever.

I've been watching this guy on youtube who cuts boots in half and really unless you get the made in uk its just the name and look you are paying for, the quality is pretty average, even the stitching is just for show as they are actually glued together.

Thanks everyone. I don't know why (I'm not usually like this at all!) but I really want them to be (or look convincingly exactly like!) DMs... Yellow stitching, black and yellow label at back etc. I'm ashamed to admit it (like I say, I'm really not usually like this) but I want to have DMs so I can join the DM club that everyone seems to be in. I feel ridiculously covetous when I see someone in them. I need to give my head a wobble I think because I'm usually very un-labely and proud!

I've looked at Solovairs, actually - I've got some Toast vouchers to spend (I'm struggling with this because everything is just so expensive!) so they might be a good shout.
