Aveda product question

Hi,
If you’re a hairdresser (or someone who knows what they’re doing with hair products), can you tell me whether this product offers heat protection for use before blow drying etc?

It is Aveda ‘speed of light’ blow dry accelerator spray.

After my last hair cut I asked to buy a heat protection product and they suggested this as it had the added benefit of helping speed up the blow drying. Been using it for weeks but I’ve just realised that there is absolutely nothing on the bottle to suggest that it offers heat protection.

Any thoughts?

Heat protection marketing is generally something you only see on lower priced hair products. Silicones, natural oils, polyquats, propodaniol, certain proteins, etc. are all helpful ingredients with heat protection and tend to be plentiful in most hair care. In short, most styling products will have heat protection properties whether they say so or not.

www.aveda.co.uk/product/5382/62004/styling/speed-of-light-blow-dry-accelerator-spray#/shade/200_ml

On the website it says heat protection from blow drying.

That’s great, thank you both. Really helpful.

@Fluffycloudland77 I have no idea why I didn’t think to google it… I guess I just thought the description online would be the same as on the bottle. Thank you 😊
