Shapewear for hip dips

I'm trying to find some work trousers and tried on a jersey wide leg pair from Hobbs.

Lovely in all ways except they really accentuated my hips. I have a spare roll of fat on the top which I picked up about 20 years ago while travelling and its not going anywhere soon.

Then they dip inwards a little, then I have a pronounced curve outwards.

I haven't worn work trousers for about a decade. Maybe I'll have to get some black jeans at least for one of the office days.

I got to thinking is there underwear for this? I just need to pad the dip section out then they won't look as noticeable.

I'm also looking at trousers with side buttons or side stripes, anything with something extra that smoothes.

I also really want navy, grey or brown trousers, which isn't helping!

I've got some from H&M (irrelevant) and some from principles which are side zip fastening. They were a bit of a revelation when I got them because they were so flattering. Ive got c section overhang. I find high waisted side zip styles flatten it out quite well combined with some v high waist knickers from marks. Not the shorts kind they are effing uncomfortable - the old fashioned briefs in a no vpl fabric. I will find some to link to.

Ooh thsnks will look out for side zip. Tnere was a Hobbs side zip pair but not my size. I was in marks the other and spent ages in the undies section but unsure what to get so went back to my usual low rise shorts. Will have another look.

I got no vpl full briefs you can get them in a few places - very comfortable and not like the shape wear that makes you feel squashed - just smooths the outline.

sort of off topic but how do you pick up a spare roll by travelling? Grin

i sadly cant offer help with shapewear but i am intrigued. Was it the fine wines and chocolates?

Donuts for breakfast. That part of me is entirely comprised of donuts.

I also have these dips! You’ve described it so well.

Am looking for shapewear too as have the same problem with trousers and most shapewear I’ve tried seems to make it worse really. Currently I just don’t wear them apart from high waist cords that I think are think enough material if not to show.

I have hip dips. I had no idea until fairly recently that this was yet another thing about my body that I should hide and be embarrassed about. Who has decided this?

Hip dips are natural. Insta says otherwise as they want us to feel shit and have surgery.
