Flat boots help for a non fashionista

Hello,

I am so useless with style and make up so would love some advice. I have to buy some flat ish boots for work. I used to wear small/mid knee high boots ( wide leg) but can't now due to sciatica. I have nothing to wear with dresses for work/home and would love some advice for those who have style. I am a size 16, desperate to lose weight and have big bum/hips. Wear tunic type dresses ( anything more fitted to my top) and around 5ft 6.

Please help, I feel a mess 😳. Am sure my recent sciatica was part weight gain but also poor posture. I need better shoes/boots that have support but hopefully style too!

A tall order Flowers. Thank you.

Fly London boots
Fitflops
Hotter
Skechers

are all good for arch support

What’s your budget OP? And how long are the dresses?

I have these which I wear with dresses and tights and leggings/skinnies. My osteopath said I could add orthotic inserts (Amazon sell them) if needed.

Oooh, thanks for the replies all. I would say £100 max to be honest @missmoon. Those £200 ones are lovely though @DarlingCoffee. Like the simplybe ones also, thanks @StCharlotte.

Dresses kneww length or just below.

And I will check out your suggestions too @WhoppingBigBackside, thank you!

Knee length, it's been a very long week!

These sorts of clumpy boots are all the rage (among my younger colleagues and students anyway), but slightly over budget at £130: www.clarks.co.uk/c/Motive-Lace/p/26166885

I like these ones, maybe in tan, depending on colour of the dresses (£120): www.clarks.co.uk/c/Motive-Lace/p/26166885

Or these ones (£119): www.johnlewis.com/john-lewis-partners-peyton-leather-biker-boots-brown/p5621732
