Hi, looking for suggestions for aftershave as a gift for DP.
1st Xmas together. He's 31 and is sort of alternative, has long hair/patterned shirts, bit surfer dude.
He currently wears YSL Homme and Sauvage which suit him wondered what men his age wear?
Ty in advance.

If he likes Sauvage maybe another Dior perfume? I like Dior Homme but also Fahrenheit is a real favourite, and a little bit different I think

I'd probably stick to his favs. You do say they suit him.
If I wore a particular perfume and my dp bought something completely different for me I'd wonder if maybe they didn't like my signature scent. Or maybe that's just meGrin.
Aftershaves I like are
Mont Blanc Explorer
Lacoste Home
D&G The One - Grey
and I adore Joop Absolute (black bottle).

My DH wears Givenchy Gentleman which is absolutely gorgeous and I never tire of smelling it on him, I literally think every day, ‘ooh you smell sooo good’. 😀Aftershave I’ve previously got for my Ds are Hugo Boss The Scent and Boss Bottled, both of which are lovely and bought repeatedly. When I’m choosing for them I prefer a woody musky type smell rather than a lighter fresh scent and these fall more in that category.

DH is a little older (early 40s) but is a walking fragrance cabinet. Good ones on him are Givenchy Gentleman (but the original one in the clear bottle, not the new one), Tom Ford For Men, Guerlain Homme Eau de Parfum, Creed Original Vetiver and Maison Francis Kurkdjian Aqua Universalis Forte.

@Lushplease they will have 100% been gifts, he didn't even know what the YSL one was called lol.
He's not someone who'd buy things like that for himself but he does enjoy them.
He suggested I get him some for Xmas

Jo Malone - Black Cedarwood & Juniper (but might be discontinued sadly)
Tom Ford - Black Orchid
Creed - Aventus

Bleu de Chanel would be lovely

Terriblecreature · 08/12/2021 21:50

So many suggestions and it would depend on your budget I think.

Bleu de Chanel is one of my faves but the others I love are Maison Margiela Replica fragrances. I am sure it's Barber Shop my husband has. It's so nice. I also love the Byredo scents but they r super pricey.
