Female thinning hair!

Any recommendations for shampoo or like products that can help with thinning?

I have fine curly/wavy hair... lots of it. But it's starting to thin. Probably from wearing up too much

Help!!

I’ve just started using Nioxin for the same reason/same type of hair too. Only used it a couple of times so far but my hair feels & looks fuller so hoping with time it will look even better. I also have begun using “3 More Inches” pre-wash treatment by Michael van Clarke. I particularly like how it’s applied to dry hair & doesn’t transfer onto pillow slips so can be left on overnight.

You need minoxidil - it takes time and there is shedding to begin with. It's a forever commitment...but it works.

Forgot to say, my hairdresser also recommended paying close attention to scalp health, including massaging the scalp daily to promote good blood flow. Apparently this can stimulate hair growth.

Thanks will give it a go!

I’ve started taking these….

www.vitabiotics.com/products/perfectil-hair-tablets?gclid=Cj0KCQiAy4eNBhCaARIsAFDVtI0CsKIDl5LL60UqBZkVyxS0c8f6GKrdZDOVPZ9dk2C6HpOB9hhDWwYaAlKnEALw_wcB

Too early to tell if they’re helping, but they have good reviews.

Iron and vit D tablets. I had a scary amount of hair loss several months ago but after switching to taking those two tablets first thing in the morning, I'm losing very little hair at all and the replacement strands are clear to see.

A male friend of mine was thinning quite badly and swears by Alpecin caffeine shampoo. There are different ones and one is like a serum which he leaves on for 20 mins. I would have thought it wouldn't do much but he showed me before and after pics four months apart and the difference was crazy!
I try and tell my mum who has suffered for years with thinning hair but she doesn't stick to it. Her endocrinologist said it was to do with her being overweight

My partner has seen a difference since starting to use this:

Here's what I've done which has made a big difference:

  1. Reduced washing to twice a week.
  2. Rosemary oil massage on scalp.
  3. Biotin and generally more protein and green veg

I went to see a trichologist and she recommended tablets called Florisene. There has been a definite improvement

Thanks again everyone! X

Just thought I'd update in case anyone else comes across this. Thanks for the tips... I went with Nioxin and the florisene tablets. Not sure which one helped but my hair is definitely growing / thickening. Very pleased!
