Hi
As title says, anyone been and are there any good bargains to be had? Debating if I should wait until after Xmas or go before schools break up.

Im after a designer bag and scarf - not too particular about brands. Ive never been so am really interested in any tips.

Thanks so much

I went there on Black Friday, by mistake, i completely forgot and it was very, very busy!!

However, I live nearish and go there about 3/4 times a year. It’s currently better for bargains than it’s been for a long time. This summer there were sweatshirts in Gucci discounted that were in the main boutiques full price.

Basically, not much sold for designer shops last winter, so there is lots to sell on.

If you are prepared to be open, you might just be lucky.

My tips, avoid the ‘made for the outlet’ stuff. It’s usually obvious, but be aware it exists.
Google anything and check you’ve got the best price- some times the OUTNET is cheaper.
Don’t expect it to be a fun shopping trip, usually it’s only for the very determined. There is a virtual queue for some stores, which can be a pain and mean you miss out some places.

If you can’t find your size, ask, there’s usually stock not out. Especially in the higher end stores.

Finally, don’t expect it to be very cheap. 50% off a lot is still a lot! Designer prices have gone crazy in the last 5 years - all bargains are relative!

Aim to go early or late, and I would recommend late. The middle of the day is very busy.

I often go and spend nothing, and then I’ll occasionally find lots to buy. It’s just luck.

Thanks so much. Really useful. I may go early next week as long as I have my determined head on! It seems I must plan plan plan.

Thanks!

I went Black Friday too as it was my birthday , it's ok . We have been going for 20 years and it's gone so high end from the old days and caters for the very small and very rich . Personally I find alot of it so glitzzy and gaudy but mulberry is always a good bet. They had some nice scarves for about £120 ..
We got priority parking which was fab and right near the door which made the whole thing much nicer !
