What's good from Lush

Timeforachange22 · 06/12/2021 21:34

I have a £20 gift certificate from Lush that needs to be used. I've never been in before. I know they do bath bombs but I don't really like baths. Do they have any nice mild-smelling moisturiser or maybe some shampoo/ conditioner. Do they do make-up? Maybe I've got it completely wrong but it smells so strong from outside the shop I've never been interested in the products.

I've only ever tried the bath bombs and the Rose Jam stuff which smells and feels fabulous.

ILoveHuskies · 06/12/2021 21:41

Their American cream range smells absolutely gorgeous

I use their conditioner and perfume. I do find the scent doesn't last long though sadly

Didiusfalco · 06/12/2021 21:42

Sleepy cream and shower gel or dream cream.

I buy Kalamazoo for my beardy DS , he will ask me "Mum can you get me that stuff from Lush"

The soaps ( festive ones ) PolarBear is marzipanny (but smells more PlayDoh)

LipScrub in the jar

I really like the Rose Jam - it smells very similar to something Body Shop did in the 90's so it's nostalgic for me Grin

70sDuvet · 06/12/2021 22:08

I've just been in today (the bath bombs are DN and DS's hearts desire obviously being 13,10 &8) and tried the body spray for the first time and honestly was very impressed.
It smells much more expensive than it is (£20) and is more a perfume than a body spray (imo)
Hard to tell in the overpowering shop but I had one spritz on the back on my hand and I can still smell it now and it's really lovely
Unfortunately I have no idea which one it was or I'd go in and purchase ConfusedGrin, possibly Dirt or Garden something
But I will be back for a daily splash as I love to wear far too expensive perfume daily and this is really lovely

70sDuvet · 06/12/2021 22:10

As in I will buy it I'm not going to give my self a daily headache/sales rush just going into lush for a spritz of perfume, I'm not 15 in House of frazer anymore Blush

I used to be partial to Snow Fairy shower gel.

Passthecake30 · 06/12/2021 22:22

I love the massage bars, they really are nourishing.

Sympathy for the Skin is a really nice body lotion. I also really like the Happy Happy Joy Joy conditioner.

JurgensCakeBabyJesus · 06/12/2021 22:40

I really like the sleepy cream, I used it in pregnancy and still use it on ds every night after his bath, and me too! There's something very calming and comforting about it. I like the solid bath oils, DH likes the bubble bars and DS likes the novelty bath bombs. There's a solid face cleansing bar I got in a gift set once that was really nice but I forget the name of it

Timeforachange22 · 06/12/2021 22:40

Thanks so much for these ideas!

I use the camomile face soap which is brilliant and has lasted months
Also liked their shampoo bar with honey in

Mrsjayy · 06/12/2021 23:03

I really like the rose jam shower/bath stuff it's lovely, also dream cream is great you can put it on your face and body.

dontgobaconmyheart · 07/12/2021 10:13

They do shampoo and shower gels. Not everything is novelty. I'm not into lush at all really but if I had to spend a voucher would get one of their cleansers; angels on bare skin is plain and effective and ultra bland is also very nice. They're not heavily fragranced. Otherwise I'd go for a shampoo or a hand soap or similar as at least it's practical.

Have a browse of the website instead OP and save yourself the instore experience, or since xmas is coming up use it to buy someone elses gift?

MilduraS · 07/12/2021 17:24

I really like the sleepy shower gel. It's very thick and feels moisturising. They do shower bombs too now but I haven't tried one yet.

Trying81 · 07/12/2021 17:26

Dream Cream - not heavily fragranced and feels lovely on

Eaumyword · 07/12/2021 18:13

I like Posh Chocolate shower cream. Smells amazing, the only issue is it does look a bit like poop! Grin
I like Rose Jam shower gel and was pleasantly surprised by the Peach massage bar. Smells lovely, very nourishing and easy to apply. You just warm it in your hand and rub it on you!

hazelgrey · 07/12/2021 18:15

They do a nice chub rub too ! So I'm told
