Hi, sorry i know this has been done before but all i can find are old threads.
Can anyone recommend the Steampod straightener?
I have GHD's and have done for years, my hair is bleached so as you can imagine isn't in the best condition. I regularly have Olaplex now and use number 6 after washing, but I'd like a kinder way of straightening my hair too.

I love mine. Much better than my T3 ceramics. I don't get the crispy ends. There is less damage and it works well in high humidity.

Thank you!
Bumping for any more opinions

I have v fine easily damaged hair and I love it too. Plus my OH is a hairdresser and prefers it to GHD'S. The only downsides are that it's not portable, and as the plates are large it's a bit difficult to get close to your roots.

I also like mine - it’s an older model but agree my hair feels healthier than when I had GHDs and my hair copes better when it’s humid out.

Thank you all, that really helps, my hair is very fluffy in humidity (cloud hair according to my 5yr old) so could do with something better for it than GHD's

Sorry to resurrect, decided to go for it and buy them, where do you get your de-mineralised water from??

Taoneusa · 16/12/2021 14:44

Ionic hairbrush by Braun is excellent at de fluffing hair, and doesn’t use heat!

Iooselipssinkships · 16/12/2021 16:37

I got the water from Amazon!

Halfords do a big bottle of de ionised water for car batteries, I'm still on my first after 3 years. It's less than a fiver

Changed my life (hair wise)... never had long hair that I could maintain unless I had a professional blow dry. Can now manage my own hair so £££ saved and I am so happy with them. The new less bulky style are tempting me now too ...

wineandchocolateforthewin · 10/01/2022 21:25

Sorry to ask another question, is the de-mineralised/de-ionised/pure water all the same????
I'm not finding much de-mineralised on Amazon so was going to get pure water
