IPL: Braun vs Philips. And which version?

Is the most expensive version necessary?

Feeling lost!

I have the Philips lumea. It’s a mid range one and I’ve had it for several years. Iirc the increased expense is due to thnumber of flashes it can do before it needs replaced. Mine has an adaptor for your face but all of my whiskers seem to be grey so I can use it for those!
It has worked excellently on my bikini line, extremely well on my legs, less so on my armpits and not at all on my hairy toes.
I’m not the Gruffalo honest!
Overall I’m really pleased with it.
