How to keep pregnancy skin post-pregnancy (in a non Hannibal Lecter type way)

Evening!

So I'm seven months preggo and honestly, my skin has never looked so great.

I used to get monthly hormonal breakouts that would last until the next period, which meant that my skin was always slightly blemishy in some way.

Conversely, I literally haven't had one spot since I got pregnant. I'd love to keep that going post-birth.

Is it possible? Anybody achieved it?

It's such a psychological load-off knowing that you can plan for any social event knowing that your skin is always going to be clear. So yeah, there has to be a way. 🤔

What say you, goddesses of MN?

Breastfeeding. (If you can)
It's also an easy way to lose any pregnancy weight gain.

Really @PJPatrol?

I was planning on doing that anyway so it would be amazing if that was a nice side effect.

As an aside, did you find it really effective for weight loss? (God I sound vain on this thread).

Double cleanse if you don’t already. Sorted my skin out from blemishy to clear. I’m currently 4 months pregnant though and having the opposite to you, non stop spots since about 8 weeks Sad

@Mowglika

What cleanser do you use, out of interest?

Also I didn’t lose any weight breastfeeding in fact when I did lose weight the quality of my breast milk went down, I had to put weight back on for my dc to thrive on my breast milk. It’s not the case for everyone though!

I use elemis cleansing balm or Aldi cleansing balm followed by hada labo hyaluronic cleansing foam. Works really well for me and keeps my skin really clear (when I’m not pregnant!)

YourVagesty · 04/12/2021 09:40

Do you follow that with a moisturiser @Mowglika or is the hyalauronic cleansing foam moisturising enough?

Sorry for all the questions Blush
