If you’re 5’3” size 12ish, please can you tell me what you’re wearing to Christmas party?

I have no clue anymore. I’m 46 size 12 (just) & short 5’3”. Our Christmas party is a dressed up affair but I really don’t want to buy another ‘party dress’ that I will only wear once. I’d rather go for something less partyish that I have a reasonable chance of wearing again, not that I go out much!

I’m perimenopausal & have lost body confidence, put on weight around middle area over the past year. All my existing clothes are just a little too tight. I need to be comfortable.
I have trawled the internet looking for something to wear to this party but just have no clue. I do like simple jumpsuits but they are all too long.

Can anyone help please who might be a similar size/shape as I just need some inspiration. I’ve spent far too long thinking about this!

@SleighbellsZ i really like both of those thank you. The only thing is, what shoes would I wear with them? I have a problem with my feet & so I don’t like to wear open toed sandals or anything too high. I could manage a smaller heel but what style would like ok with a cropped jumpsuit?

Tbh any small heel would be fine, you need to be comfortable shoe wise otherwise you'll be in pain all night. Always comfort on the feet haha!

I would wear a black silk/silky smock dress any length you prefer then either black ankle boots or over the knee black boots depending on the length of the dress - with black tights.

Dressed up with fab make up and gold jewellery and a faux fur/leather/vegan jacket
