Watching with interest Grin

Which Neom did you get? I bought 'Perfect Peace' for the first time and loved it, have bought it again for this year! It's a really strong scent. I should've tried the other one I suppose (Christmas Wish?) but just love PP so much.

There are a few cinnamon-y scents on Amazon but I'm afraid they won't be anywhere near as good. I've also seen some bottles of 'fragrance oil' in M&S but never know if they're for electric diffusers or not?

BasiliskStare · 03/12/2021 05:28

Have you tried the RHS ones ? They are nice

Fivemoreminutes1 · 03/12/2021 05:44

Gya labs ‘spruce’ or Baldwins www.baldwins.co.uk/baldwins-christmas-essential-oil-blend

FormerlySpeckledyHen · 03/12/2021 05:53

aConcernedPrude I have one with Ylang Ylang, Frankincense and Patchouli. It’s lovely but more Woodstock than Christmas!

I'll try to find PP today on my mooch around Oxford-thank you .

I have Christmas wish, it’s fine but I can’t shift the thought it smells of cola bottles

FormerlySpeckledyHen · 03/12/2021 08:56

I will look for Christmas Wish too - thank you .

Anymore I’m likely to find on the high street or in JL please ?

Thank you

I like the ones from The White Company as well as Neom. Three different festive fragrances and all lovely.

Bohemond · 03/12/2021 09:41

Ours is from the Christmas tree farm next to my house. Is gorgeous. Maybe you can get similar near you.

cosmopolitanplease · 03/12/2021 09:45

We love M&S mandarin, cinnamon and clove scent. We have it in oil burner, as tea lights and the pot pourri. It is THE smell of Christmas in our house and I would be gutted if they discontinued it (like they have the Dermot aftershaves Angry).

Bluntness100 · 03/12/2021 09:48

I really like this gingerbread one. You can get a much larger one, about ten times the size for about a tenner also on Amazon.

I have an extensive range of essential oils and use frankincense, pine needle and bergamot around Christmas. I use frankincense all year though; I love it. Also agree with cinnamon, nutmeg, clove, orange (basically the spices in mulled wine!)

DidgeDoolittle · 03/12/2021 09:58

The white company ' winter' is lovely. Orange and cinnamony

itsnotrugby · 03/12/2021 15:47

The White Company 'Winter' and 'Fir tree'

Tinseltrauma · 03/12/2021 16:39

@cosmopolitanplease we must have the same taste in smells! M and s is also the scent of Christmas in our house, haven't yet got the hand wash this year though it's on the list. And Dermot too is a massive loss - it's the smell I associate with DH and my three sons!

BringMeTea · 03/12/2021 16:54

The White company ones as above, especially Winter.

AuntMasha · 03/12/2021 16:58

Orange, tangerine and Mandarin essential oils are relatively cheap, as are cinnamon and clove. I usually use a combination of those for a lovely, warm, Christmassy scent.

Koalaslippers · 03/12/2021 17:00

I love Yorkshire soaps 'Yorkshire Christmas' but I don't think they sell the oil separately.

Stealhsquirrelnutkin · 03/12/2021 17:09

My current favourite Christmas mix is a combination of frankincense, myrrh, tangerine, nutmeg and cypress. Sometimes I use sweet orange or blood orange instead of tangerine, add cloves and cinnamon and swap the cypress for pine needles.

Anyone else think pure pine needle essential oil smells a bit too much like the stuff your mum used to use for cleaning the bog to be festive used alone?

Also, has anyone managed to mix a blend that smells like apples and mulled wine? I've tried cloves, nutmeg, cinnamon and green apple, but the green apple always smells more like shampoo than baked apples.

FormerlySpeckledyHen · 03/12/2021 18:03

Thanks everyone.
The White Company was out of stock of Winter unfortunately but I got the M & S one plus a bag of pot pourri.

@Tinseltrauma I've never seen the handwash and I looks like it's not for sale this year, grr! And Dermot's vetiver and cedarwood gives me the right fanny gallops so I'm pleased it doesn't remind me of my sons 😆

LoveLabradors · 03/12/2021 21:33

Orange, cinnamon and frankincense essential oils together are gorgeous.

PinkArt · 03/12/2021 22:44

@stealhsquirrelnutkin, candle rather than oils, but Jo Loves has a mulled wine candle.

DukeofEarlGrey · 03/12/2021 23:01

White Co Fir Tree

evilharpy · 03/12/2021 23:05

Buy a bottle of sweet orange and a bottle of frankincense (whatever brand - try Holland & Barrett, their oils are decent and inexpensive) and use about five drops of each in a diffuser.

mrstrickland · 04/12/2021 09:58

Bought this last year and smells so lovely and Christmassy:
