Wedding Perfume

I've been trying to find my perfect wedding day scent and just can't seem to nail it. I want something gorgeous, long lasting but not overpowering. And I wanted something new rather than one of my go to perfumes. My favs are Miss Dior Blooming Bouquet, YSL Parisienne, Marc Jacobs Decadence, Chanel coco Mademoiselle...
I dislike Santal 33, Alien, Tom Ford Black Orchid...and I'm not a fan of tuberose.
Any suggestions of samples to try please share?? Slightly left this to the last min...so it may even end up being a blind buy

Irresistible by givanchy is nice amd lasts all day

MintLampShade · 02/12/2021 11:31

Some of my favs are also Blooming Bouquet, Chanel Madm and Chance Eau Tendre.

My wedding perfume was Dolce & Gabbana Ligh Blue. I love it, such a clean, fresh and romantic smell. It was perfect 💙

GnTplease · 02/12/2021 11:43

@MintLampShade I love chance eu tendre too! You know I had light blue when I was younger and haven't smelled it in years. Will give that a try!

Mine was Chance, I thought I'd find a new one but nope....!

Pegasussnail · 02/12/2021 11:45

I really really love Chanel Coco Noir.
It's so glamorous. It's expensive but you just need a little bit.
Congratulations Wine

Can you just wear your usual perfume? I had a special wedding perfume and 12 years on I can't even remember what it was. I do remember that I didn't really feel like myself all day though (also due to the fact that I had my hair up, which I never normally do, but the scent played a big part).

lobsteroll · 02/12/2021 13:57

Light Blue is gorgeous, such an underrated scent.

Have you tried any of the Replica fragrances?

Also if you go to Jo Malone and tell them what you like they can pair a couple of fragrances together for you to make something special.

TheMirrorReflects · 02/12/2021 14:03

I wore Ivoire by Balmain on my wedding day.

Opal8 · 02/12/2021 14:03

Creed love in white

La Vie est belle (ditto)
4160 tuesdays doe in the snow
YSL in love again

firstimemamma · 02/12/2021 14:05

I wore Eternity Moment by Calvin Klein on my wedding day.

avvemarriia · 02/12/2021 14:06

onedream · 02/12/2021 14:09

Dior J'adore was mine on my wedding day and will always remind me of the day

notasgreenasiamcabbagelooking · 02/12/2021 14:11

Mine was also Dolce and Gabbana Light Blue (it was my 'something blue'). I recently discovered Lidl's copy which is exactly the same as the original but longer lasting on me.

Pegasussnail · 02/12/2021 14:15

What is the name of the lidl version not
I bought mystique this morning and it's a dupe of Alien

ImStayingInside · 02/12/2021 14:22

I used Marc Jacobs Perfect for my wedding last year, it still cheers me up so much when I use it.

Aphantasia · 02/12/2021 14:23

Same as a previous, I wore Chanel 5 and didn’t feel like myself at all, wish I’d stuck to mademoiselle as that’s what I’d been wearing for ages at that point. I love santal 33 now and will wear it to the grave!

jennyt82 · 02/12/2021 14:24

La vie est belle. Not overpowering and lasts all day. I always get compliments when I wear it

auldmaw · 02/12/2021 14:26

I wore J'aime La Nuit by La Perla. I'd never worn it before our wedding and only wear it on special occasions. Every time I wear it I love how nostalgic it makes me feel (10 years down the line!)

Blueroses99 · 02/12/2021 14:38

Mine was Bulgari - the jasmine one in the black bottle. My DH had previously bought me the rose perfume as a present. It wasn’t until I tried to find the perfect scent that I realised how fussy I was and what a fluke it was that he chose something that I loved.

GnTplease · 02/12/2021 14:42

Some great suggestions for me to try - thank you all! Sadly I don't have a jo malone nearby so will have to stick to the more mainstream brands I think. If I can't find something new I love then I'll stick to an old fav

belimoo · 02/12/2021 17:50

I would really recommend Diptyque Eau Rose. It's a bit similar to Blooming Bouquet, feels very special and the bottle and packaging are beautiful.

Lucked · 02/12/2021 18:00

My wedding perfume has just been discontinued so choose wisely.

You could treat yourself to a bottle of CocoM extrait (£££ for 15mls) - that would be very special and you could save it for anniversaries and special occasions. Also sample the Intense version which has added vanilla.

Aphantasia · 05/12/2021 22:45

@GnTplease I was at a week g yesterday, hugged the bride and her perfume actually stopped me in my tracks, she smelt divine! I’ve just ordered a travel size bottle of it purely on the basis that she smelt amazing. Portrait of a lady, Frederic Maille, it’s properly gorgeous
