Can you help me find a similar jumper?

Hello. I don't usually venture onto this board, as I'm neither stylish nor beautiful

Would love some help from fashion experts/those who are very good at shopping.

My DD loves this sweater but it's Ralph Lauren and £135, which is more than I want to spend, Christmas or not. I'd like to find something similar for a more reasonable price. She usually shops in Primark/New Look etc. I'd like something better quality than that (but just not quite Ralph Lauren!)

Which shops would you be looking at for something like this for a 16 year-old? Or have you seen something very similar you could point me in the direction of?

Hollister/Jack Wills or similar? I had ones like that as a preppy teen from J Crew and Abercrombie & Fitch. Other brands that might have similar (though not necessarily any cheaper) would be Gant, Brora, maybe Crew Company or even Gap.

If I put in "navy cable knit v neck jumper" into Google there are quite a few hits. I suspect with your DD though, the brand will make a difference... could you play the whole sustainable fashion/circular fashion thing and find it on vinted or depop? Or even ebay for that old school feeling...

If the label is important I quite often see the Ralph Lauren cable knits I'm my local tk maxx - the problem is you can't search for that brand on their website so you'd have to go in and hope for the best. It really depends how important the label is to her.

Look on ebay if its the label she wants (as many teens do)

If it's the label then there is a good RL at Bicester Village if you're anywhere near Oxfordshire.

Yes just to second what's been said by other posters either Bicester shopping village near Oxford or eBay.

I have that same jumper in cream and navy both purchased for less than half of the new price and worn once or in as new condition as I wouldn't pay that for a cotton jumper.

Your best bet is probably Bicester though if you want it with the tags Ect.

Thanks so much everyone. I haven’t looked at all your links yet but will do this afternoon. I don’t know that the label itself is the be-all and end-all. She hasn’t previously asked for or shown an interest in designer brands, but maybe that is changing!

@Xiaoxiong, those brands are along the lines of what I was thinking of. And yes, she likes the all-American, clean cut preppy style. I’ve just remembered Brandy and Melville too which I’ll have a look at. She made a bee-line for their store when we were in Covent Garden in the summer.

I swear my mother has a pink version of that jumper from years ago with a Tommy Hilfiger label on it, their current ones all seem to be round necks, prices are a good bit lower that RL, men's ones match more closely but won't be as fitted. TKMaxx often have this style. Also, I used to see similar style in Edinburgh Woolen Mills. Superdry have some cable knit jumpers too, though not with a v-neck. Reminds me of a golf jumper!

Actually TK Maxx is a good shout, I was in there last month and there was tonnes of Ralph Lauren. Worth a rummage!

Brilliant, thanks so much everyone; loads to go on here. I knew the MN fashinistas would come up trumps! I basically live in gym wear (for work)/dog walking clothes and PJs, and I hate shopping (as in, wandering about and browsing in different stores) so I'm grateful to you all for saving me that particular job!

Thank you @Riverlee, there are some great options there. The Gant one is lovely, though may still be a little bit too dear. It's definitely the sort of fit she likes though. She is very petite and tends to wear fitted stuff.

Definitely try tkmaxx first! They have loads of RL, crew, and other brands in this style in my local one!

Swindon shopping village has a Ralph Lauren shop....much cheaper than normal prices!
And does anyone have any suggestions for a cream cowl neck jumper? This one's really difficult to find!!

@waterlego - there's also a very good RL in Gunwharf Quays, Portsmouth if you're near.

I have this. The last few years before Xmas Ralphy have done a 40% discount promotion. Not sure if they are doing this year.
However I tend to shop the Outlet village or TK maxx
