Skin care routine

I have been mixing and matching a whole host of things and would like to have a 3/4 step routine with recommended products please. I’m mid 40s dry skin. I always cleanse (tried Liz Earle/ordinary/ Augustine bader) but you rarely seem to see toners on the market now (are these out of fashion ? Seems to be gels or foams now? ) I’ve tried various serums (skinceuticals/ ordinary) and moisturisers but would love a simple (ish) routine with recommended actual named products I can just buy (not general recommendations with choice involved eg a vitamin c serum with no recommendations). I’m just feeling a bit lost and with loads of half finished pots and tubes and need some guidance! Eg can I just go to Chanel and get a 4 step programme with a few tweaks depending on morning / evening? Or do people really believe in different brands for different steps …

Any advice very welcome!

Toners seem to be rebounded as tonics now.

My go to is Pixi Tonic
