Quality mens slipper boots, any suggestions?

DP loves a pair of slipper boots. He has been buying Coolers for years but the quality is terrible. Would like to get him a decent pair this year that will last. He is a very hard to please with how they look though, no checks, prints or anything fluffy. Does anyone have any tried and tested suggestions?

Celtic & Co. if he would like sheepskin

DH is very hard on footwear and the best we’ve found are Just Sheepskin. Even with being worn everyday and nipping outside occasionally his now last 2-3 years rather than 2-3 months

Glerups - lovely leather soled felt elf shoes and boots.

I bought some for DH. He loves them. They will do repairs if you send them back. My friend recommended them and has had the same pair for years. They are very well made.

I have Glerups. They’re nice too and warm, but I have slipper envy and covet DHs.

The Celtic and Co ones look fab but slightly over budget. Hoping for something under £50 but I may have to go a little higher.

Can anyone tell me, do glerups smell? Can they be washed?
Me and DH bought sorel slippers last year and we HATE them. They have wool linings. I had no idea how much wool makes your feet sweat, and they absolutely stink. They can't be washed.

Gumbies. Very comfy.

DH's glerups have never been washed and do not smell.

But he's not prone to stinky feet. I don't dare test on my own trotters

I’ve had my Glerups for 18 months. They did not smell on arrival. I wear mine regularly with socks and they still do not smell, in spite of my warm feet and past slipper issues. When I ordered DH’s Celtic & Co slipper boots I also ordered some of their special wool wash (their sheepskin boots are machine washable). If my Glerups get smelly I plan to use DH’s specialist wool wash and put them through a wool cycle machine wash. If anyone has washed Glerups and has tips, I would like to hear them.

@RomComPhooey thank you. I'm going to give them ago. They don't look smelly (whatever that means Grin)

My Glerups are warm without being too hot. In hindsight I wish I’d asked for the boots because I have a warm feet-cold ankles problem now.
