What colour jacket(?) with this jumpsuit

Phase 8 plum coloured jumpsuit - I'm recycling it for the works Xmas do because I'm too skint to buy anything else but I'll need something over the top of it because it's sleeveless and my arms aren't fit for being out in public Grin

Any suggestion on what colour would lift it and help it look Christmassy? Silver? Gold? Bright pink? 🤷🏻‍♀️🤷🏻‍♀️ I'm clueless!

I wouldn’t wear a jacket.
Some sort of cropped cardi in gold or silver - depending on your colouring/shoes etc

Something like these?

I'm more a silver than gold woman Smile

Hmm not convinced by the cropped cardi. Think those pics you posted with a wide-leg trouser might look like you're auditioning for Aladdin at the local panto. Would a black velvet blazer work? I know it's not a Christmassy colour but velvet is lovely this time of year. And then sparkly eyeshadow/jewellery?

Bettybantz · 30/11/2021 19:36

I think a biker jacket with big earrings - sort of depends where the do is though

Kjr33 · 30/11/2021 19:50

Agree with the blazer, velvet would be nice or a Tux style blazer, longer style though I don’t think cropped.

RedHot22 · 30/11/2021 20:31

I was just thinking a jacket may be too hot..

Longer could work but it would need to be fitted

RedHot22 · 30/11/2021 20:45

Actually, I think a long kimono would look lovely

RedHot22 · 30/11/2021 20:50

Or a long sheer cardigan

WaltzingBetty · 30/11/2021 21:13

Hush has a sparky blazer but i wouldn't buy anything you wouldn't normally wear Esp if you're skint

I like the Dorothy perkins top. Have you tried them on together yet?

However, your arms are your arms. No one is expecting you to look like a professional athlete. I bet there's nothing wrong with them.

HoollyWugger · 30/11/2021 22:03

It's not a very fancy place; I think a velvet jacket would be too much, and I'd get too warm in it. I like the thought of a biker jacket, but it doesn't really say "dressed up for Christmas" iyswim.

Maybe I should just knock back a couple of voddies and not care about my arms Grin. I am self conscious of them though and would prefer them under wraps!

I haven't actually got either of those tops yet - I saw them on Vinted!

You will boil in a biker jacket

Do you have something you can just drape over your arms for when you feel self- conscious at the beginning, then you can dump it after a drink or 2! I bet there will be worse arms there than yours Smile
