Can anyone recommend some that don’t cost a fortune but work well?

Bobbi brown and real techniques (can get in boots and Superdrug) are my faves
cruffin · 30/11/2021 15:08

Real techniques were heavily discounted on lookfantastic the other day

Summertime16 · 30/11/2021 15:08

you've missed their sale but Peaches & Cream makeup brushes are the best in my opinion.

Yes I like Real Techniques

NotMyCat · 01/12/2021 00:20

The spectrum katie Jane hughes ones are good, well any of their brushes really and still have a sale on KJHEXTRA20 gets you another 20% off too

I love my EcoTools brushes. Pretty cheap to start with but there are often deals at Boots!

icelollycraving · 01/12/2021 02:16

Nanshy I really like. Real techniques are frequently on offer and are good value.

violetbunny · 01/12/2021 06:30

It depends on your budget - I would always buy the best you can afford. Good brushes make a world of difference and should last a very long time.

I personally really love Wayne Goss brushes, they're easily as good as if not better than most luxury brands, but a fraction of the price. I do have cheaper brushes from Real Techniques, Morphe etc - they're fine for the price but not as good.

Body shop.

Totalwasteofpaper · 01/12/2021 06:47

Real techniques are as good as my mac bobbi brown dior brushes and the sets are often discounted

CloudyStorms · 01/12/2021 08:07

Zoeva, a little pricey but not ridiculous

LoveLabradors · 01/12/2021 10:57

I’ve been really pleased with my spectrum brushes - fancied a change after years of real techniques- I do feel they are softer. I have a zoeva buffing foundation brush which is excellent too.

daisydoh · 01/12/2021 19:27

Real techniques

@daisydoh

Real techniques
I find these can get a bit scratchy but that might just be me washing them in baby shampoo.
Iamkmackered1979 · 05/12/2021 20:11

Zoeva were doing a good discount. I’ve got Bobbi brown and Chanel brushes boots own are lovely too, limited selection in smaller stores tho

LadyTiredWinterBottom2 · 05/12/2021 20:18

I got kabuki style brushes from ebay years ago and they are still going strong. I have real techniques and eco tools and they are no better imho.

70isaLimitNotaTarget · 05/12/2021 21:10

I have bought myself some M&S Autograph brushes - 5 in the pack. Powder , blusher, foundation, lip and eye shadow . Nice and soft , nice variety
My Bare Minerals brush is coarser .

I had some Body Shop ones for many years which were lovely .
