What is Phase Eight sizing like?

I’m still searching for the great de-frumping coat.
I’ve seen a possibility on Phase Eight, but I’ve never bought from them before. Is their sizing realistic old-school sizing - or generous vanity sizing?

For context, I’ve recently had to return both M and S and Joules size 12 coats for being too big. (Despite the fact that at 12stone+ and 5ft3, I probably a 14-16 really!)

Any advice?

Definitely try it on. I'm a size 12 but the Phase Eight cut just doesn't work for me. I fit no problem but the cut always looks SO awful on me. It must be cut for a different shape. So weird, it's the only shop I just cannot buy from.
