Foundation for older skin.

I am 53 and looking for a good foundation. My DDs recommended Estée Lauder Double Wear. I got a sample from Boots and tried it. I found it very matte and too mask like for my tastes. It made me look like Bram Stokers Dracula! The colour match was good- I'm quite pale.
What do you all recommend?
I have dry cheeks and a slightly greasy t- zone.
I am happy to pay up to £40 for a decent one.

I'm a similar age and have used Chanel Vitalumiere Aqua for years. Very light and almost invisible which is what I like.

I'm pale skinned but have freckles and I use number 30 (can't recall the name of the shade).

Second the Chanel one, but someone on here recommended the Beauty Pie one - I tried it and loved it. It's exactly a dupe for the Laura Mercier one which I cherished but became allergic to.

Thank you for those recommendations. I shall explore them further.

You might like the Estée Lauder futurist, I have drier skin and really like it
