M&S Heatgen…long bodied.

Thinking of getting some after the snow this weekend but I’m quite tall and one of the tops looked short on the model…

Can anyone confirm if they are generous in length or short etc?

I prefer Uniqlo Heattech as the fabric feels nicer and they are longer too.

How tall are you? I'm 5"7 and they're fine on me, I actually roll it under/tuck it in because otherwise bunches up. Mine are a couple years old though so don't know if they've changed. I have heard great things about the Uniqlo ones though and honestly I don't find my M&S keeps me significantly warmer!

BlairWaldorfLovesShopping · 28/11/2021 21:22

I’m long bodied and I wear uniqlo heattech. Even the bodysuits fit me perfectly. They don’t seem to be doing them this year unfortunately- but I’ve already got 4! The normal tops are great too though.

PumpkinCrumble · 28/11/2021 21:32

I’m 5.10 and liked to be tucked in! Grin I don’t have a Uniqlo on the high street sadly, but might be worth getting to one.

I think they'll be long enough on you (unless they changed them since last year). I'm a couple of inches shorter than you sad they're like a mini dress (very mini) on me. I'm just gutted they don't do navy long length.

Do Uniqlo do official long length ones? I couldn't find any.

Willowwarble · 28/11/2021 21:43

I am 5 11 and they are long enough to tuck in, low hip length. I do size up though as find them a bit on the small size, there is a longline one if you don't mind plain black.

DGFB · 28/11/2021 21:48

I also size up and they are the perfect length. I prefer M&S ones to Uniqlo

PumpkinCrumble · 28/11/2021 22:32

What is the difference between the Heatgen and Heatgen plus, does anyone know?

Good to know they are long enough to tuck in!

I'm wearing one right now, it's fine but as others have said, Uniqlos are better.

cannaethink · 28/11/2021 23:23

I’m 5’8 and long bodied, the standard length reach to my hips. They come up small though so if you don’t want it tight then size up.
I’ve got some from Uniqlo and some from primark, they all keep me a bit warmer but I’d say my favourites are Uniqlo. I order online as there are no stores in Scotland at all afaik.

Bootsnshoes · 28/11/2021 23:57

I'm currently in one and the length is enough to tuck into my leggings but only just. Best one I have is actually Primark. Stretchy, long enough to cover my bum and easy to wash. I've had it about 5 years and it is great.

Treeballarae · 29/11/2021 00:31

I have several standard length heatgen tops and I find them short in the body, they tend to ride up and I am only 5 foot four but I bought my usual size, rather than sizing up.

I have one longline heatgen top that I sized up in and it is brilliant, comes down over my hips and stays in place. I wanted to buy a new one is year but they've been out of stock since October in my size and my stock notifications keep coming back saying they aren't getting any more in, but I live in hope.

Heatgen plus is lined with furry lining I think, but I've never tried heatgen plus.

I bought two heatgen copies from Tu at Sainsbury last week, they don't sell a specific longline version but I chose the ones that looked longline in the pictures and they are a good length. I sized up with them though, expecting them to be like the Marks ones and they are a little too big, so I'd probably buy my normal size if I was to buy again.

PumpkinCrumble · 29/11/2021 10:55

Thanks everyone! Useful to know about TU and Sainsbury’s as well, I can get to them easy enough. Wasn’t sure about ordering Uniqlo online as I’m not familiar their sizing.

I do like the stripy polo neck one in M&S but I will keep my options open and have a look in the other shops!

Heatgen plus are warmer than heatgen

PumpkinCrumble · 29/11/2021 12:25

Sorry Primark and Sainsbury’s !
