Thoughts on this leather jacket?

I think I love it - am just a little unsure about the 3/4 length sleeves? Could I wear it with layers in the winter (and gloves/wrist warmers) or would I look crazy?! TIA.

Thoughts on this leather jacket?

You’ll look crazy or be cold!

GoodnightGrandma · 28/11/2021 17:36

I’d say it’s a spring/summer jacket

merryhouse · 28/11/2021 17:45

I think it looks odd because the sleeves end at the same point as the body. This might not be the case on you depending on how wide your shoulders are (and whether they do different sizes differently...) though it might look even odder if there's just a small difference.

I don't think it's an outdoor winter possibility (look at what the model's wearing it with).

lindyloo57 · 28/11/2021 17:53

I like it, where is it from.

LHOOQ · 28/11/2021 18:06

I love it! Also would like to know where it is from please and thank you Halo

BurbageBrook · 28/11/2021 18:10

I think you’ll regret not buying one with full sleeves. It’ll look weird with sleeves poking out and it’s not a very versatile item.

Herecomesthesun70 · 28/11/2021 18:10

Now I love a leather and have quite a few.
Not loving the sleeves at all. Quite weird and you'll probably hate them after a while. A nice real leather biker is a classic item that won't date. That will because it's been messed about with.

LawnFever · 28/11/2021 18:13

I like the style but not the sleeves, I think it just looks like they’re the wrong length rather than they’re supposed to be like that

Ontheblink · 28/11/2021 18:16

I like the sleeves, and as long as you’re either wearing fitted long sleeves underneath or no sleeves it will look good. It’s a lovely jacket

MadameSapphire · 28/11/2021 18:17

Thanks for the thoughts so far. It’s an All Saints jacket (but not current season!). @Herecomesthesun70, I agree re. a leather jacket being a classic item that shouldn’t date, I guess that’s my concern with this one, but it’s a good price for an All Saints leather so I’m tempted...

I love it and have one similar. I wear it in the spring/summer/early autumn mostly in the evening - it goes well over dresses and makes a t shirt and jeans look a bit more dressed up. I'm not sure about layering though.

KirstenBlest · 28/11/2021 19:18

3/4 sleeves are a bugbear of mine. but you could wear wristwarmers

Slothkin · 28/11/2021 20:19

Hrm, I was admiring these gloves today www2.hm.com/en_gb/productpage.0987056001.html but I think you’d need a pretty fierce style to make it work!

Firesidefox · 28/11/2021 20:23

I wouldn't get it. The sleeves would bug me.

Slothkin · 28/11/2021 20:23

Saying that I don’t think leather gives much warmth to start with (unless it’s chunky technical leathers).

Real leather is warm. Fake ones are not
Slothkin · 29/11/2021 14:21

I would agree that (real) leather can be very warm in wind and rain for its bulk but you need to layer like hell in icy dry weather; an absolutely bitter weekend in Prague sadly ruined my idea of looking remotely stylish in my gorgeous new coat!

LookItsMeAgain · 29/11/2021 14:28

Have you thought about M&S for a leather jacket if you want one?

whatisthisinhere · 29/11/2021 14:46

I quite like it. I often unzip the sleeves of my AllSaints Balfern,

MoltonSilver · 29/11/2021 17:26

I love it but you'd be quite limited in what you could wear under it.

If it's your only leather jacket I'd say this isn't the one for you.

JMAngel1 · 29/11/2021 17:31

It's gorgeous. Would look cool with fingerless wrist/arm warmers.

Gah don't you hate that. My leather doesn't do up now because I've put too much weight on my boobs are too big
Slothkin · 29/11/2021 18:50

I feel your pain @Herecomesthesun70. I have an absolutely gorgeous Joseph sheepskin coat that is laughing at my attempts to button it. Pies, why are you so delicious?
