Lounge wear, posh but durable, help!

I'm 39 and still throwing on the onesies I've had from age 25. Enough said about that Blush

I recently bought a lovely pair of "joggers" from Monsoon. Sort of a nude oatmeal colour, but super soft and paired with a pale pink tee, I actually look really pretty in my "scrubs"

I'm now determined to get rid of all my daft printed onesies and get some more lovely loungewear.

Anyone got any recommendations? Budget not too much of an issue, but I'm finding a lot of cashmere stuff, and unsure how well this will fair being put through the wash twice a week, and also I have toddler DTwins, so I don't want it to get plucked/ruined at that price. Alternatives very welcome....

Jesus £95 for fleece trackies???

MsDastardley · 28/11/2021 14:00

I like Hush Ami joggers. I also have a few M&S cashmere hoodies which are nice

RiverSkater · 28/11/2021 14:35

Look at BAM bamboo clothing, they have nice stuff.

£95 for cotton acrylic fleece joggers.
They are trading on their name with those. I suppose the cotton is Italian though. 😆

wabbeydabbeydo · 28/11/2021 15:09

@RiverSkater that is exactly what I've been looking for. Have just placed an order!

wavingwhilstdrowning · 28/11/2021 15:50

I buy from BAM
30% off atm too :)

windmill26 · 28/11/2021 16:32

H&M (loungewear) and John Lewis have some decent stuff .Also M&S cashmere joggers and hoodies.

MollysDolly · 29/11/2021 09:07

Hush looks brilliant. Thank you 😊

Anyone know of a discount code as they don't appear to be doing anything for black Friday/cyber Monday...

Hush tend not to do Black Friday etc. They do occasionally have sales.

I love Hush, but I would definitely not describe their loungewear as durable? It has a reputation for being the total opposite at the minute. Sad, as I love their things. But I've had to stop buying there are too many things fell apart or went out of shape quickly.

CommanderBurnham · 29/11/2021 09:18

I like my luxury clothes but surprisingly it's my next loungewear that washes best.

They'll have a sale, usually the first week in January if you can hold off until then Smile I like their Harem pants (not often in the sale unfortunately) I've got some joggers but they don't have pockets 🤬 Sweatshirts are generally good quality and have lasted several years. I've just bought some wide leg yoga type pants from Seasalt which are great and flattering. Look awful in the website though. They're called Lazy bones trousers

I know! But there was a 25% Black Friday discount so "only" £71.25 and I've wanted them for 2 years and I'm stuck at home with a broken ankle so I need nice loungewear to cheer me up... I dunno, maybe I won't keep them! They haven't come yet and I'm almost hoping I won't like them...
CalmDownBoris72 · 29/11/2021 19:47

I was going to suggest sweaty Betty fleece Gary pants. They do go in the sale after Christmas though and I get 30% off for being a yoga teacher- not sure I’d pay £95 but they’re a lovely fine fleece and have washed very well over the last 18 months- not baggy knees like all my old hush harem trousers got.

CommanderBurnham · 29/11/2021 22:30

I second Sweaty Betty. Absolute bargain if it's something that washes well that you're going to wear for years. And better for the environment too. Their fibres aren't always natural though.

whatisthisinhere · 30/11/2021 00:52

I love my Sweaty Betty fleece joggers. I don't pay full price for mine, ever. They wash and wear very well, are extremely warm and comfortable. I've worn them outside with DMs and they look good. I have matching fleece hoodies to go with. I'm thinking of getting another pair, especially if we go into lockdown again

TheOccupier · 30/11/2021 16:32

Oh I feel a bit better now about having ordered the Sweaty Betty Gary pants! Looking forward to their arrival Smile

TheOccupier · 11/12/2021 12:15

In case anyone's interested, the wildly expensive Sweaty Betty Gary fleece joggers arrived and I feel they are nothing special and definitely not worth the £££! They are going back.

Inthesameboatatmo · 12/12/2021 08:03

I've got some uniqlo fleece lined joggers that I've had for ages and they wash really well. I think they are about 30 pounds .

CommanderBurnham · 12/12/2021 19:13

Oh just remembered American vintage. It's lovely.

wizzywig · 12/12/2021 19:18

There's a clothing range that is connected to the stationary shop Typo. Lovely comfy jogging bottoms
