Knee Length Heeled Boots

It’s so long since I’ve been anywhere that I could actually wear heels.
I’m out for dinner tonight. Are they really dated or still ok?

I’m wearing a maxi dress

Well if you're wearing a maxi, nobody will know if they're heeled or not. They should be fine. If you like them, wear them. I'm sick of hearing the word 'dated' on here.

almahart · 27/11/2021 18:38

I like them and there are quite a few around at the moment. Anyway as @RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie says, who really cares?

Gingercatlover · 27/11/2021 18:40

Seen loads of influencers on Insta wearing them with maxi dresses, so I thought about getting some myself.

They must be 'in' 😊

RedHot22 · 27/11/2021 18:42

Thanks.
Maxi (maybe) Midi? About 3inches above ankle

I’ve lost my way a bit with bloody Covid!

It'll be fine. I'd say 'bloody Covid' has meant pretty much anything goes. The rules are, there are no rules.

RedHot22 · 27/11/2021 19:05

I’m done and ready thanks

haha yes, i dont think the people shelling out hundreds for fairfax & favour's heeled regina boots are thinking they're dated!

i love long boots, but prefer flat. I like the riding boot look. I would buy some but they always fit like wellies. That said, i once bought some slim fit dubarry's and the damn things nipped my knee skin Grin

this comment ought to be in bold at the top of every S&B post!

I love knee high heeled boots and will be wearing mine (as soon as I have lost enough weight to zip them up)

I’ve just bought some red knee boots from Anthropologie ( not my usual shop) which I shall wear with midi skirts / dresses etc. I haven’t worn knee boots for a few years but have had these images saved for ages. If these looks are dated so be it. 🤷‍♀️

And no terrified small children? Result!

MargosKaftan · 28/11/2021 09:44

If you are short of leg (like me) then they make midi dresses look better, not having the line from the ankle boot then the line from the skirt just above makes you look less cut off. I did wear a shorter dress (just above knee) with knee boots last week, and I caught myself in a window reflection and did think that looked a bit dated. Am saving them for with longer skirts. (So the top of the boot is covered)

MargosKaftan · 28/11/2021 09:47

But completely get the feeling that covid has taken away your ability to work out how to put together the clothes you have to look fashionable now. (Not helped that I'm still holding onto 2kg of lockdown weight gain, which is just enough that many of my "going out" clothes are too snug, but not enough to justify buying a load more things)

RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie · 28/11/2021 09:59

I was wearing knee high boots yesterday, because of the snow. I tried on a very short, very tight skirt with them and actually thought it looked good. Maybe not terribly 'current' but strong 60s vibes, and I liked it.

RedHot22 · 28/11/2021 10:27

I love a 60’s vibe

They worked well for a meal out in a country pub - we drove. Usually I would wear chunky ankle boots with that dress but it felt nice to be in heels for a change as I rarely wear them as usually walking.

I wore my biker jacket and a massive cashmere wrap and hat. All in neutral shades of black & taupe with chunky silver earrings and bangle.

…. And grey. My jacket is charcoal grey

Sounds lovely? What was your dress like?

OP posts:
RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie · 28/11/2021 14:08

That's the sort of thing I love, but that sadly doesn't love me!

RedHot22 · 28/11/2021 14:35

I want sure it would suit me as I’m hourglass but as it’s elasticated at the back it fits well but also comfortable.

OP posts:
Divebar2021 · 28/11/2021 15:06

Love that dress.
