I want a chunky knit, roll neck jumper, where will I look?

Honestly, I feel as though I’ve searched high and low so if anyone has any ideas, out them here please! I’d much prefer wool to synthetic fibre. Budget up to say £150. Colour ..l am open minded, would prefer plain to patterned. I’ve looked at John Lewis, Boden, Cos, Reiss, Hobbs, Arket, Baukjen, HoF, & Other Stories, Whistles, possibly more. Quite possible I’ve missed the perfect jumper! It just has to be a good weight and warm!

Any suggestions more than appreciated!

I got a lovely wool one at Sweaty Betty.

usedtobeboss3 · 27/11/2021 15:03

Monsoon had a couple recently - worth a look.

BettyfromBristol · 27/11/2021 15:12

Not sure if they have what you want but have you tried Woolovers?

GrouchyKiwi · 27/11/2021 15:23

Woolovers has lovely wool jumpers. I've been wearing my Arran Cable knit one for the last few days to keep me warm in this horribly cold weather. So cosy.

I’m sat in the one one @EllaPaella recommends, but the grey version...I love it! Chunky, warm, and it’s just lovely

BringMeTea · 27/11/2021 16:42

Navygrey a smidge over budget...

Rosielil · 27/11/2021 18:36

Sorry, been out all afternoon but what a lot of replies. Thank you! I love the Finisterre jumper recommended by @EllaPaella and, even better, being worn by @moonfacebaby! It’s just the sort of thing I want. Is it nice and heavy and not a thin yarn?

@BringMeTea, I’ve admired Navygrey since they started popping up on my fb ads. Have you bought from there? If so, I’d love to know what the quality is like.

Have had a quick look at all the other suggestions too, thanks all. Am ruling Woolovers out as was really disappointed with the quality if their cashmerino this year compared to a couple of years back. Celtic and Co have a couple of possibilities too. Think I might just end up ordering something this evening ….

Other Stories have some lovely knitwear and it's warm, here's one example:

@DirectionToPerfection, Other Stories broke my heart the other night when the jumper I had in my basket sold out whilst I put children to bed …. wail! I’ll have another look though, thanks!

They had this in blue and cinnamon brown as well in the shop but they are sold out online. This is thick but fairly soft wool - the neck isn’t too high but warm

Paul James. I’d never heard of them but someone recommended them on a similar thread last month & I bought a rollneck from them which is really good quality.

missmoon · 28/11/2021 09:16

Sorry, that first one is £165..
