Radley bag packaging

Hi all,

Done a search but not getting anywere and currently waiting on Radley to get back to me.

I have purchased a Radley bag as a Christmas present from their Amazon shop (same price as on their website, used Amazon for convenience).
Bag turned up today, however it came in a see through plastic bag and wrapped in a bit of paper.
For the price, I was expecting it to arrive in a nice box or wrapped nicely in something.

To be honest, if it was for myself I wouldn't have cared much but seeing it is a gift it is a bit annoying.

I guess what I am trying to find out is if any of you have ordered from them recently and did your bag arrive in a plastic bag or in a nice box?

I haven't bought a radley bag for a few years but when I bought one which cost about £200 it came in a dust bag in a box

A plastic bag but it was for me not a present

Thank you, they've just replied that items sent via Amazon will arrive in a plastic bag and through their own centre in a Radley box. 🙄

I bought one a few years ago and it was beautifully packaged with tissue and a nice box, it felt luxurious. I wouldn't be happy with a plastic bag at all for the price of some of the bags.

In a dust bag when bought in the John Lewis store a few years ago. No box though, but might be because I was buying it for myself so wouldn’t have wanted one anyway. This is the thing with Amazon, it’s convenient but I do appreciate the overall shopping experience better with other (bricks and mortar) stores. Recently popped into Liberty (London) and it was a joy and all I was buying was skincare products.

Is there a dust bag inside it?

OneRingToRuleThemAll · 26/11/2021 14:12

I bought this year's picture bag and it came with a dust bag and care card.

It should come with a dust bag. I've seen them second-hand on eBay. How big is the bag as I might have one spare?

Brusca · 26/11/2021 14:23

Have you opened it up? My Osprey bag (bought direct from Osprey) came with the dust bag neatly folded inside.

Akasia · 26/11/2021 19:36

Thank you all for your replies.
It does come with a dust bag and I've debated whether to pop it in it but can't see how I'd be able to wrap it up so that it looks nice.
There are a few Radley boxes on ebay so will have a look at that, perhaps can get one from there.
@prettypinkflamingo thank you, that is very kind, there is a dustbag, is the box I am annoyed I have missed out on.

Problem is that the bag is soooo unexpectedly nice that I really want one for myself now haha 😄

I bought a small bag (Radley brand) heavily discounted at T K Maxx recently - it had a polyester-cotton dustbag as well.

My beef is that it's an OK bag, reasonably well-made ((not worth the full price tho') but I just wish they hadn't printed "Radley" on the bag, it means I have to wear it with the back of the bag showing. I really hate having labels - I bought the bag for it's size shape & colour not the brand (I removed the cutesy dog tag as well).

So you probably should have received some sort of drawstring bag for storing the bag.
