Didrikson Parka

Another coat thread! After much research and trying my neighbours Didrikson parka, I think I'm sold!

I just need to decide which one now...I like the look of the Ericka but I think it might be too warm? Also the Luna which is less warm I think. Blacks and Cotswold Outdoors sell them and have discount for black Friday but I'm stumped as to which one would be best. Obviously they don't do all the different types either. Any help would be great! I'm 5 foot 2 and I size 10/12 so think the 38 would be best too?

I love my didriksons. It was so worth the money. They do come up big though, I’m the same size as you and I think I’ve got the 36.

Thank you! Do you what type you have please? My friends that I tried on is an old style and a 36, it fit well but it was a tiny bit tight round the thighs, as in the button panel was very slightly stretched if that makes sense! I guess it would be different if it's a different style of coat?

I've just bought the Stella, which is a full-length padded one. I'm 5'4" and a 8/10 - I went for the 34 which fits fine.

I love my Natasha - even though it's an off-whitr puffer coat it manages to be slightly slimming due to the way its cut. Its long on me at 5'4" but I prefer that for keeping me warm and dry. I'm a 12-14 and got the 14 and it's roomy but not too big.

I have the Ericka and love it.

I'm 5'5", standard size 10 in most shops and have the 36. It's a great fit. I can wear a jumper or very slim gilet underneath comfortably.

Yes, it is slightly tight at the bottom of the thighs as you say, but not so it's a problem.

Very warm and brilliant for miserable winter days.

@highlandcoo can you take the fur off the hood of the Erika? I can't find info online. Thanks.

highlandcoo · 28/11/2021 12:49

Yes, it's easy to remove.

Good price at Hollands Country Clothing at the moment btw

I have that one, like going out with your duvet wrapped round you.

Thanks for reply. I've ordered it Smile

Anyone had the Luna and can tell me how warm it is please? I get warm walking about on the school run, but get cold standing about at football matches. Plus I'm in Peak District and quite prone to v cold winters. I prefer the look of the Luna... for its length. Wondering if the Erika, though warm, may not be long enough as I'm 5ft 8 (size 14)... I don't want it half way up my thigh.
