Would you wear a white/off white teddy coat?

I got an off white teddy coat as gift. I haven’t owned any white coat before. I am kind of sceptical on wearing this anywhere. Are you keen on wearing white coats ?

Yes - have got a beautiful high quality one, almost looks like real fur, and gets lots of comments. Wasn’t cheap - £350 - but worth it.

I like white/cream coats, they can look very lovely, but not for me - I can be messy and clumsy, and a pale coat would be asking for trouble. Coloured and pale coats make a wonderful change from all the dark and neutral colours people wear in winter.

I'm not fond teddy coats they're not my taste and they can look untidy/dirty/tarnished very quickly (nature of the fabric not fault of the owner) I would worry the pale colour would exacerbate this.

If this is a special gift, and coats can be expensive longterm items, I would think carefully about a teddy coat which is very much a current trend piece coming to the end of it's cycle. This is not to say that you shouldn't wear it if you love the style and continue even after it is declining in popularity, but a heads up if you are quite trend conscious and hadn't considered it.

I had a gorgeous one from See by Chloe a few years ago. Lovely to wear and always received compliments. It’s true it needed laundering /dry cleaning rather often but it was just about worth the trouble.

The main difficulty was that it shed white wool over everything and everyone I came into contact with, which was a nuisance.
