Has anyone had success or otherwise with taking collagen supplements specifically for skin? My perimenopausal face needs all the help it can get.

According to what I have heard, they don't really work.

Nice chap at H&B suggested a vitamin c supplement

Lab muffin beauty did a video on them recently and suggested they don’t really work. I’m with the previous poster vitamin c is probably more useful.

Slow release vit c works better, it’s quite cheap in the supermarkets.

Regardless of external factors we are all going to lose 30% of our collagen at menopause.

You’ve got to bear in mind what your body cares about too, there’s some science to show it helps joints but the body repairs joints all your life albeit more slowly as we age. Nature doesn’t give a stuff if we’re wrinkly post menopause.
