For those people with grey hair

I am grey. It is a nice colour. Its silver and I feel blessed. It is in great condition too.

However.... when I was a brunette I had highlights from time to time and they ranged from blonde to red, to both.

Blondes do it too don't they ? Highlights and lowlights etc etc...

So for us with Grey, what can you do if you want to liven the colour up for holidays or Christmas?

I am not talking about blue or pink. Can anyone relate and if so give advice

I have gray hair and have done for many decades. I went gray quite young. A few years ago I saw an acquaintance with gray hair that had this beautiful silver sheen to it and I asked her what she uses. It's a purple rinse that I had never heard of. It's very different than the traditional purple rinses that you buy in the normal stores. It's called Fanola and I can only find it on ebay in the US (it's from Italy, so might be more available in the UK.) I use both the shampoo and the conditioner (which they call mask) . It turned my hair a lovely shade of purple which everybody of all ages compliments me on all the time so I kept it. And my friend who originally recommended it still has a lovely silvery Gray hair. You could try it yourself and see what it does to your hair. It really is a rinse so will eventually wash out. Lots of people demonstrating it on YouTube so do a bit of a Google first.

Have you tried using a purple shampoo and conditioner? My naturally black, grey and white hair looks less dull when I use them.

I personally struggle with purple shampoo. It always sticks and is patchy. Do you not get this?

Wella have developed a salon treatment to enhance the tones of grey hair. Its called Silver Glow by True Grey. My personal favourite tone is Graphite Shimmer Medium. I have long grey hair which is in excellent condition but the colour is dull so I'm interested in this treatment.
