Jeans- help please (no style)

Please could you clever people help me?

I am not a stylish person, and know nothing about fashion.

I live in my jeans most of the time (I work in v relaxed office)

I have been wearing low/mid-rise skinnies for ever... but my favourite 2 pairs have just given up and ripped/broken zip.

So I need to buy new jeans. Where I live doesn't have a huge range of shops.

I don't want to look dated/frumpy (I'm mid 40s). What jeans are the right kind to buy at the moment? I'm a size 12/14 with slim hips and big boobs and am prone to bloating... sigh.

Any top tips where to look/ what to buy? Any advice gratefully received!

Bumping for you.

I think a gentle boot cut is probably a good modern basic.
Mom jeans are also around but are hideous on most so I wouldn’t bother with those.

The right kind of jeans to buy are the ones that you feel comfortable in.

I'm a big fan of M&S for basics like jeans as they pretty much have all styles covered.
You could go mid rise straight leg? I have to admit I've been on the look out for low rise but almost impossible to find at the price point., although Vinted seem to be coming up trumps for a few 7 for all mankind ones...
If you are willing to spend a bit more then J Brand I think are really good and you can usually get them cheaper on outnet.

@tintodeverano2 I know, but I can't get them any more!

Ok so if I try mid rise straight or gentle boot that'll look ok?

I used to wear bootcut years ago...

Not a fan of mom jeans...

I really like the Lily from M & S. they're a straight leg, slim fit, stretch, mid rise and very flattering. I've got the blue, black and have just bought the new grey ones. They're only £19.50 too, so half the price of my Molly skinnies from River Island.

I sized down as they looked better tighter on the hips but looser on the leg.
