Best body shop products?

Jiggy16 · 24/11/2021 07:20

I have some money to spend in the body shop, so looking for some good products to use, anyone any products they really rate from there? Thinking more down the skincare line.

I'm mid 30's with dehydrated combo skin, could do with hydration, glow, help with fine lines and loss of plump-ness to the skin. So basically everything lol.

I have cleansers that I'm happy with and have a skin and me subscription for retinol. But would welcome any other suggestions!

Thank you in advance!

Hemp hand protector and calomile eye make-up remover. Moringa shower gel is good too.

Flip I didn't see the replies, thanks all, yes I have vouchers so have to keep it to that shop. Will have a look at the suggestions. Thank you!

@RaininSummer

There is black Friday deal on body butter at the moment. 4 for 20 pounds.
That's far too much body butter
MeredithGreyishblue · 26/11/2021 21:01

Don't support them full stop. Ripping off (mainly) women in a nasty MLM scheme.
And deciding women can't express opinions without being boycotted.
Hideous company

shinynewapple21 · 27/11/2021 00:18

I love their body butters

RampantIvy · 27/11/2021 00:43

Mumsnetters hate The Bodyshop. I like some of their products. The Camomile cleansing butter is brilliant. I love the vitamin E range and the Drops of Youth stuff.

SpeckledyHen · 27/11/2021 06:24

Camomile range and hemp hand cream.

SandysMam · 27/11/2021 06:34

They do a tinted balm moisturiser which is fabulous to make skin look really dewy. I also recommend the shimmer waves bronzers/highlighters for adding glow. Expensive but last forever and double up as eyeshadow.

ZombeaArthur · 27/11/2021 06:41

I really like the vitamin E moisturisers and the Hawaiian kukui cream.

Thefuturestory · 27/11/2021 06:47

camomile cleansing butter and the make up brushes.

BumbleLyon · 27/11/2021 06:55

I love their face moisturisers: both the vitamin e and vitamin c ones with SPF. Though I had no idea about the MLM/misogyny so I'm going to do some research and consider shopping elsewhere!

mummyh2016 · 27/11/2021 07:26

The camomile cleansing butter is amazing.

I just think it's a shame as I used to like their stuff just hate their ethos and the way my friends have been sucked in and lost money 🤷🏼‍♀️

What’s MLM? I believe they attacked Harry Potter author which was ridiculous and shows they must have airheads running the show. Perhaps BS should focus on their products which have gone so downhill for the last 10 + years! I remember in my 20s and 30s when their stuff was a treat. Ahhh, all good things come to an end.

BlancheB · 27/11/2021 13:15

Yeah I'd bin the vouchers. Who wants to give money to a company with "values" like that?

Their products are ghastly nowadays anyway.

RampantIvy · 27/11/2021 13:23

I don't agree. Their vitamin E range is still the same.

Ashue · 27/11/2021 13:29

Maybe a few face creams remain the same. Literally everything else has gone downhill.

SpookyScarySkeletons · 27/11/2021 13:33

I order from a body shop rep and get amazing discounts.

Favourite products are:

Vitamin C face cream. It's so light but also hydrating and smells lovely.
Ginger shampoo and conditioner. Amazing for dandruff
Banana shampoo and conditioner. I'm addicted to the scent.
Hemp foot balm
Coconut body butter
Green coffee firming cream
Anything English rose scented.

They already have the cash. If identity politics are important to you, maybe exchange the vouchers for something that you then donate to a shelter/food bank.

The aloe range is good. Most of the skincare is fine.

Bluesheep8 · 22/11/2022 11:21

White Musk edp. The vegan one they've replaced it with lasts for precisely 10 seconds.

RampantIvy · 22/11/2022 11:35

I'm not interested in their "identity politics". I like some of their products and dislike others, just as I like and dislike toiletries from Boots/Superdrug/other.

Pigeon31 · 22/11/2022 11:37

I really love the Sleep range - the lavender/ vetiver body butter is lovely. (Not sure if it helps with sleep, I just like the scent anyway).

ILoveShula · 22/11/2022 12:47

@BlancheB , I like most of their stuff

avocadoandchill · 22/11/2022 12:48

Vitamin e cream

Icedlatteplease · 22/11/2022 12:51

I like their soaps, I used yo like their shower gels bit would rather be bottle free. DD likes soaps, shower gels, body butter and make up; it's about the only company she can use anything in the range and not come up in a rash
