It’s my birthday and I’m looking for a dressing gown that is both beautiful AND warm - I’ve seen several previous mumsnet threads for dressing gowns but all those recommended are the wafty cotton or silk kimono style robes (for example from One Hundred Stars), which while stunning, won’t cut the mustard in my freezing 300 year old cottage. I’d prefer a quilted or velvet one over towelling but open to all suggestions.
The only ones I’ve found are Desmond and Dempsey but their quilted ones are over £300 so a bit over budget especially as I’ve got a sicky baby so need to wash it fairly often…! My mum has a stunning velvet housecoat with a feathered collar which she uses, but I haven’t been able to find anything similar.
