Party dress help

I've always been pretty good at dressing myself, but over the past year and a half have managed to put on 3 stone and have gone from a comfortable 14 to an 18. I feel like I've lost all my sense of style along with my jawline 😕

So, I've got a Christmas party and a 40th coming up and would like a dress to suit both. The Christmas party is a fairly fancy dinner dance at a racecourse and the 40th is black tie and cocktail dresses.

I'm about 5'4", big boobs and hips, small waist but now have a bit of a belly. Happy to wear heels, would rather avoid a strapless bra.

Help!

I have no idea of colours you like etc but I bought this dress from shein with no expectations considering the cost and when it arrived and I tried it on, my mum who was here bought it for herself she liked it so much!

What sort of price range do you have in mind?

I keep seeing Bombshell HQ reccommended on MN, and have been lusting after their dresses for ages!

This style I think would look particularly nice in a larger size (better than on a size 10 I reckon!), especially given your curvy small-waisted shape:
