Jeggings ? Stretchy casual trousers ?

AntiCornLawLeague · 21/11/2021 13:34

Dresses or skirts?

Leather look leggings maybe or cord leggings?

Letsallscreamatthesistene · 21/11/2021 13:38

Oooh cord leggings are something I havent come across.

Big fan of dresses but its cold so they're out for now.

I love Other Stories, as a style reference point.

I also hate jeans, so I’ve started wearing more exciting leggings than the normal black ones with jumpers and stuff. Leather look, leopard print. Mint Velvet have some nice ones. They look nice with DMs.

Corduroy dungarees form Lucy and yak, not the bright colours, the darker, more neutral ones

Jeans are such hard work I have normal waist but slim legs and it just looks ridiculous

cherrypiepie · 21/11/2021 19:18

I didn't wear jeans for a few years (I'd for To a size 18 and so so uncomfortable) and life is much easier now I am wearing them again -but that's not helpful.

Dresses /skirts and thermal tights and boots are fine as an alternative. But You need a thick skirt and warm tights I have a denim pinafore dress.

Or I wore leggings or trackies but mainly at home.

Alternatively try some elasticsted jeans? I have some from next and they are nice.

Sweaty Betty leggings

Letsallscreamatthesistene · 21/11/2021 20:27

@cherrypiepie can I ask what started you wearing them again? Did you find a good brand that fit you well?

Ive seen Lucy and Yak before but didnt like their cotton dungarees as I think it'd make me look a bit like a workman 😂 The cord ones look great though.

I almost never wear jeans. I’m a 12 and 5ft 7 and have a 7 month old but have always found them uncomfortable.

I wear a line mini skirts with tights, fake leather trousers from Zara, or high waist wide legged trousers from Gorman (Aussie brand) or asos.

cherrypiepie · 21/11/2021 20:49

I did lose weight but still as size 16 and you sound much slimmer.

Try the next tapered elasticated (I love these and the waistband is a feature - found these very generous so would size down tube are lovey and loose on the leg and tum and define but elasticated waist! ) or the Tesco ultra comfort jegging. I have a prominent tum and heavy legs so jeans are a Nemesis!

I also go some mint velvet ones from vinted. (Size up)

Jeans are super cheap on vinted as I think people do what I do: try them on and the think they are comfortable initially but become uncomfortable during the course of the day and then can't be sent back!

Definitely high waisted is best.

Good luck in your search!

Dresses and skirts. Thick tights. Just as warm as jeans and a million times more comfortable.
