Plus size funeral wear

Hi there,

My Mum is likely to move to palliative care next week and is expected to die fairly soon after that.

Apologies if this sounds cold, but as a very embarrassed fat person who really hates seeing people I've not seen in a long time, I'd rather be organised for a potential funeral.

I am a size 22/24, massive apple shape. Short. Big round tummy and fat legs.

Please can anyone help me find an alternative plain black dress & jacket for a funeral for a sad short fat person?

I’m so sorry to hear about your mum, OP. You don't sound cold at all, preparing now will save you a horrible job when you’re grieving.

I’ve looked on other retailers' sites to see if that Monsoon dress is available anywhere else but it seems to be completely sold out.

The Next website is good for this kind of thing as it sells many brands aside from its own.

I am also short and fat - when my dad died I got my hair blow dried on the morning of the funeral. My brothers thought I was a total weirdo but I really just wanted to look and feel nice on the day we said goodbye. Do whatever you need to to get through it all. Sending love and support
