What type of top with this skirt?

It’s kind of a crochet lace material, slightly off white. I’ll be in a hot and muggy country but will be spending a lot of time in a very cold air-conditioned room. It’s a smart casual event. What colour and style of top do you think would go well?

I have worn it with a silky camisole & strappy vest before but it was always outside in the heat. I’m worried about freezing while I’m indoors. I’ll try to find a cardigan or jacket that will go with it. I know a leather jacket looks good but while that’s fine here in the UK, it will look odd & out of place for this event!
