I'm usually envious of people's charity shop bargains. Today though I am the smuggest of all the smug. I got two absolute bargains. A fossil bag for £19.99 and a cashmere and cotton jumper for DH again £19.99 which retails for £120.00

Do you always carry your fossils with you?

WheelieBinPrincess · 18/11/2021 13:28

Those are good finds OP although at the higher-priced end of charity shop- was it one of those boutique type ones?

I got a Levi denim skirt last week for £5, and a wool Whistles coat for £20. I wish it was cold enough to wear the coat Sad

Nice buys OP! I love a charity shop browse Grin

I donated a fossil bag last week Smile

Does anyone have an “everything £1” charity shop near them? I do and was lucky enough to find three great pairs of trousers there recently. No posh brands or anything but perfectly nice.

I got a Boden metallic leather biker jacket for £20 the other day - no tags but it looked brand new - thrilled to bits with it! Was RRP £200+ when I googled it.

Also bought a gorgeous furry leopard print Boden jacket in a different charity shop for £50. Much more than I usually spend in a charity shop but it was brand new with tags and sooooo soft and beautiful!

Also bought a Coast batwing top the other day, £4.50, I've had compliments both times I've worn it Grin

Love a charity shop!

PS your purchases sound great!

I don't mind spending a bit more if you're getting good quality. Used to live by a £1 charity shop and loved it but moved away and the ones round here are more £££ - I don't mind for certain things but it annoys me when an F&F dress is dearer than it would have been brand new!

The ones near me tend to be £3 or less. Earlier this week I got a Pliage bag, seasalt dress and seasalt trousers, all £2 each.

I'm not convinced that the bag is genuine, the dress looks almost new and the trousers have plenty of wear left in them. I'm not normally a seasalt person but the trousers are quite unusual, and the dress is a plain shirtdress.

Got a BNWT Hush maxi dress for £8, and a pair of wool Joseph trousers for £5

Double checked and the jumper was £9.99. It's not a boutique one but they are very brand aware.

Bora trousers for £5.00 and a gorgeous lulu and Co silk skirt £4.99. Great finds now have my eye out for a leather jacket willing to pay a decent price.

WheelieBinPrincess · 19/11/2021 13:59

I do love it when you stumble on one that are not very brand savvy, but I’m in west London and that never happens round here!

I've got a few Hobbes and M&S thin jumper tops for £5 each.

Got a tag on high end high street Xmas party dress for £10.

A couple of silk scarves for £2.

I spend a lot of time rummaging!

WheelieBinPrincess · 22/11/2021 16:26

This is Topshop, was a fiver in Oxfam today and I’m wearing it to a gig next month!

The ones near us are mixed ... some really cheap and some £££. I got a next baby outfit dress and leggings for £2 with the tags on. An m&s boys winter jacket for my 4yo (£38 still on website) looked brand new £2. A next winter coat for my girl £1.74. My best one was when our local shelter (one of the £££ usually) did a "all kids jackets and clothes £2" sale the day after eldest ds ripped his coat at school. I got him an amazing zara parka, a pokemon tshirt, a hype tshirt and 2 trespass fleeces all £2 each. I love having charity shop days and seeing what i can get
