Does the Foreo Bear work?

RomanaBanana · 18/11/2021 12:16

Thinking of getting the Foreo Bear but it’s expensive. Will it work on my jowls? They are not too bad but developing too quickly and I want them under control.

I have one and have been using it for about 4 months. It definitely improves my jawline area - it’s not a miracle cure but does tighten things up. You have to use it every day however.

phoebeb19 · 19/11/2021 15:41

Hi! It will help certainly, but you need to be consistent with your routine, start slow and get a good conductive gel. I've had the bear for a while now and have gotten great results with it. Also, it might be a good idea to be on the look out for black friday deals as you might be able to get one at a reduced price because it is an expensive device but you really do get what you paid for!

RomanaBanana · 19/11/2021 16:54

@phoebeb19, Black Friday deals is great advise.

@phoebeb19 what would you recommend as a conducive gel ?

Jowls run through the women in my family so I have asked the husband for the bear for xmas. The reviews are mostly excellent.

Uptoongirl · 19/11/2021 17:41

For those of you using it with the gel, I take it you would use it after cleansing before moisturisers etc? I want one but can see me forgetting not to put my night creams on after cleansing then either not using it or having to rinse my face. Or am I over thinking?

RomanaBanana · 19/11/2021 17:54

Does anyone know where I can see real before and after pictures? I either see reviews by influencers clearly paid to review the product or 30 year olds with perfect skin.

This is my jawline after using it…. I’m 53. It has really helped my jowls.

I use this gel with it, tried a few but this was the best.

@RomanaBanana they are on offer at LookFantastic and John Lewis

WildFlowerBees · 20/11/2021 18:55

I use the NuFACE, you have to use it regularly which would be easy if it weren't for needing the gel.

I use ultrasound gel from Amazon works a treat.

LadyNell · 20/11/2021 18:58

Been looking at these, the Rio, Nuface and the Bear, am contemplating cheek fillers to lift my face but do these devices actually work ?

YouSetTheTone · 20/11/2021 19:30

@Journeynotdestination
Your jawline looks amazing!
Did you mean to attach a link about the gel? I’d love to know which one you advise.

Journeynotdestination · 20/11/2021 21:23

Thanks! I do do a bit of face yoga too for the cheeks, but the Bear has definitely helped my jawline. This is the gel, it’s purely for using with the device, it doesn’t have any other skin benefits.

RomanaBanana · 20/11/2021 22:23

@Journeynotdestination, your jawline is amazing, but was it bad before or are you genetically blessed?

OP posts:
Journeynotdestination · 20/11/2021 23:07

@RomanaBanana thanks - I think I do have good genes but the Bear device definitely firmed up my jawline and gave it much more definition. I was getting a square jowly look. I don’t use the Foreo app for the routine and just concentrate on my jawline and under my jaw. I do the rest of my face if I have more time, but I did buy it for the jaw definition mainly. I was a bit of a face yoga devotee, but the exercises I was doing for the jaw gave me repetitive strain injury on one side 😯 so I had to stop & bought the Bear.

I also think diet helps and I try to drink water throughout the day.

Rosielil · 20/11/2021 23:35

Has anyone found it helps nasolabial folds or marionette lines? If I thought it would help with either, I’d purchase it in a flash!

RomanaBanana · 21/11/2021 14:37

@Rosielil, this is what I need help with too. I just want to make sure it will work before I invest.

LaCerbiatta · 21/11/2021 16:18

So undecided..... If you get results and then stop does it all revert to how it was before?

Delatron · 21/11/2021 16:22

I’ve just bought the bear. As my Nuface broke and I’ve been wanting to try for ages.

I did like my Nuface and saw results. I definitely noticed when I stopped using it. Yes with microcurrent face goes back to how it was. You really do need to keep it up and do it regularly. Though I view that the same as exercise for the body. If you stop muscles get weaker.

Anyway. I’m liking the bear so far. It’s quicker than the Nuface therefore I’m more likely to squeeze it in every morning.

I swear I can see a slight lift already. Will report back in a week or so.

rjane · 21/11/2021 17:19

I am very impressed with the effects my bear has had over the past 8 months or so. They might be even better if I used it more ;-)
However, I "knew" beforehand that my skin and face would cooperate as I had had a few Rene Guinot Liftadermie treatments.
Whilst the Guinot treatment is not cheap, it is certainly worth trying before shelling out for a device that may not produce the desired results.
I did start off with the Foreo serum (very expensive) but have switched to one from Amazon that contains hyaluronic acid.
The main thing is to have something water-based (for the conductivity).

Rosielil · 21/11/2021 17:46

@RomanaBanana, I’ve been reading the Bear threads for months! I need someone to say whether it works for marionettes and nasolabial folds … if so, I’ll invest. It certainly sounds fantastic but I also wonder how it is if you have quite a few fillings!!

RomanaBanana · 21/11/2021 18:36

@Rosielil, I am also obsessively reading everything about it. So many reviews are by people who are either too young, paid to review it or face full of fillers and Botox already.

OP posts:
phoebeb19 · 23/11/2021 12:26

I use it after cleansing and I really make an effort to dry my face before I start with the treatment. I've used the foreo serum and regular ultrasound gel works well too.

ArabeI · 23/11/2021 12:32

I've been terrible using it, forgetting about it for weeks at a time, but when I do use it my skin feels slightly firmer. I don't have any lines/jowls and use it as preventative on lower face. I'm back using at the moment and would recommend.

I've seen good results on lifting eye/brow area and jowl and lower face areas (and on photos in the section here).

I also use the cheap ultrasound gel from Amazon.

Mercurial123 · 23/11/2021 14:14

I was thinking of buying it six months ago and watched the Docterly review in You Tube. It's really informative. I decided to save my money and contine to use RetinA.

@Rosielil I have had my bear for a few months. I am 55. I have noticed a big diff in how lifted my face looks. I suffer from NL folds and the near kind of lifts everything up and laterally. Of course you have to keep using it to see results just like any other muscle it responds to continued stimulation.
I wouldn’t be without it.
It has been great for my eyes and neck too.
Well worth the money- and I don’t really have it to a spare but was really wanting to lift my sagging face.
